    They put him in just so he can get his hopes up and they could enjoy dashing them when they cut the final squad.

    Only through necessity.

    If M.Hussey was allowed stay at 6 where he is all but impregnable he'd still be averaging +60

    Hodge is the best batsman in Australian cricket at the moment - a much better player than when he last played test cricket.
