Morph, please don't say 'Fly half'. Its such a Rugby affiliated word. If you start saying Flyhalf you might as well start calling Halfback 'Scrum Half' and Lock 'Loose Forward'.

Not that I hate Union or anything, but it DOES irk me to see people (particularly Poms) calling League positions like Union ones.

Yeah so thats the end of my rant. :D

Back to Rat; I don't see anything wrong with feeling just a little nostalgic and excited about the possible return of one of our greatest ever players.

When I read the article It sparked a little glimmer of Hope in me that he just might come back after all.

Age makes no difference. Look at the great man ET. He was... what 34-35 when he retired? He was still making an Impact.

Alfie was closer to 37 and look at the impact he made. I've also heard the little shit will be making a come back with his local club side.

Its not like he's a forward or anything who's had the shit battered out of him for the best part of 15 years. He's a bloody backline wimp. :D If he comes back, I don't think Age will be a major issue.

Schooner can you honestly tell me you weren't excited in the slightest about the thought of Rat coming home?

I remember that Brett Dallas was seriously thought of only recently was he not ?
I also remember Brett Mullins having a good part in the Roosters win last season at a good age.
Perhaps if Rogers were ever to return it would be at Fly half as someone said or at Fullback.
Fair point.
Matt is always welcome back mate, but @ $350,000 in twilight years is for English clubs not us.

like a curry through an eskimo

You're not having a go at me are you?

Only joking. We eskimos have curry (seal vindaloo) all the time and rarely suffer any ill effects. How about "like a rat through an aqueduct" or "like a chainsaw through a duck"?

But seriously, I'd love to see the Rat back in the Sharks' colours, I'm just trying to be realistic and can't see it happening. The only possibility is if he is prepared to play for a fair bit less than $350k just to try and add the premiership medal to his CV.

Don't worry, no offence taken. We Eskimos are pretty easy going people and noted practical jokers (we need to keep ourselves amused during the 11 months of winter we get up north) and I just couldn't let that one go by without throwing in a comment.
