To get rid of the 3rd man in, wrestling, dancing etc why not use rugby's rule of releasing the player soon as the tackle is completed. The only reason the 3rd player comes in is too peel off the tackled player slowly enough to allow the defensive line to reset.
As soon as the player with the ball hits the ground the tacklers would have to release and roll away. This would lead to very fast play the balls with 3 less players in the defensive line which would really open up the game. Because the game would open up more we wouldn't see the 3rd man. In addition to faster play the balls we'd also get more offloads and second phase play.

Don't admit that - Raiders will soon be accused of destroying the gameThe Raiders are leading the charge on this. They are so passionate about 3 men tackles that when Josh Hodgson is involved in a 3 man tackle, he'll actually make a call and that signals the other two players to drop out of the tackle
He's such a ornament to the game.
Lets ban them.
