Worst 40 minutes in 2011

Sides have been flogged by larger scores in a half of football in 2011, but the second half performance by Parramatta is the worst 40 I've seen this season.
I thought they were even better last week against the rabbitohs. Rabbitohs were just plain hot that night, so you could kind of excuse the bad performance as one of those nights.
But, the Sea Eagles were pretty damn ordinary and were ripe for a beating. I think any side with a sembelance of organisation would have beaten the Eagles tonight.
No cohesion in attack at all. They played like they all met each other for the first time. ANYTHING that looked like a backline attacking move looked so uncoordinated, predictable and without any clearcut plan.
As for their defence when it counted....geez, they folded like a house of cards.
Parra had some f**ked up sides in the early 90's, but at least those crap sides had some guys like Brett Plowman, David Woods, Michael Beuttner and Scott Mahon who could at least have some sort of idea on how to play an attacking game of rugby league once in a while and not choke. Backs like Ryan Morgan, Chris Hicks, Jordan Atkins, Ben Smith, Etu Uasele(I know he did not play tonight) do not have an attacking bone in their bodies. The only thing those clowns will win for Parra is a wooden spoon.

Stu Galbraith could create more than the f**kwits in the halves at the moment. Sad fact for Parra is....im not joking. Casey Macguire is a reject from a french team for crying out loud. Jarryd Hayne....gifted player, but needs to lose the ego.

Their forwards....I'll need to call them "backwards". The amount of times they could only make 20-25 metres in a set of six was incredible. Sea Eagles pack were well off their game, yet were made to look like the pack from hell by the softcocks in blue .A weak as piss forward like Lasalo can play every game in 2010, while tough men like Simon Dywer may have to retire because he actually put his body on the line. Unfair world.

this thread could also apply to the warriors in the first half tonight, and the knights in the second.

Mate, at least those sides had some sort of structure and organisation in them. The Parra guys were virtual strangers.

Brett Plowman? Biggest waste of space ever in an Eels jumper. He left his attacking bones in Brisbane. As for the rest of it..........

As entertaining and LOLworthy the second half Stains capitulation was against Souffs it was every bit as a woeful performance and probably even more so as what Parra's was taking into account the ladder positions and standings of the teams mentioned.

Was watching the game with a mate and first thing i said to him after full time siren was thank god we were playing parra.

Manly were terrible tonight! No enthusiasm or line speed at all. Gold Coast titans without scott prince would of beaten us tonight. Manly look like there thinking about the storm and broncos game in few weeks.

Parra are are a terrible team. Though being through what they have in last 2 months i can understand why they have fallen to bits.

I thought the salary cap was sposed to even up the comp.
The gulf between the top and bottom teams has never been wider.
And people wanna expand

It does of you spend to the cap. Spend the equivalent of 2 internationals under though..............

Anyway, do you remember the Magpies last season?

1998 and 1999 were some of the best examples of park football ever seen. Lincoln Raudonkikis, Shane McMenemy, Scott Coxon, David Buko and co

Useless trivia....3 players from that team went on to win a premiership...Skando, Shane Perry, and Hogdson

Ahhhh classic days.
David Buko had one hell of a falcon in 1999, and Wests won about 3 games in the year.
Dunno what happened to Lincoln, and Coxon played in the Newcastle comp for a little bit there.

Those three wins were miracles too considering how weak they were.

I recall one game where Canberra led Wests 44-0 at halftime and Tommy Raudonikis was throwing chairs around the dressing room at the break.

Funnily enough I was in China around that time and a Melbourne vs Wests match was shown repeatedly on Star TV.
From memory it was played in Perth and the Storm barely got out of first gear.

In the spirit of Ribot's global vision, I prepared myself for a barrage of questions from the locals about luminaries like Dane Dorahy and Travis Baker but surprisingly nobody cared.
