100% agree.
I believe Raymond is only a sideline commentator now, and hasn't called NRL matches on FOX since they revamped their NRL coverage and Joel Caine and Vossy were promoted.
That was the line-up for 9 seasons during 2003-2011. Amazing to think Fox kept that trio for that long. Matt Russell replaced Braybrook in 2012, who was demoted to the Under 20 comp (which Russell was calling the previous year). Thank God for that, as Braybrook was by far the worst caller Fox has had since its inception, with his repetitive "They MUST score....", not to mention towards the end of his tenure, he picked up that annoying Rabs/Gus mannerism of becoming fixated on a particular issue (e.g. referees), and then harping on about it during the match coverage.
When FOX first obtained sole PayTV broadcasting rights in 2001 (previously were sharing with Optus during 1998-2000), IIRC Smith/Braybrook/John McCoy were the inaugural callers during 2001-02, with Smith being the head of their NRL coverage calling the marquee matches (replacing Greg Clark, who switched to Fox's Rugby Union coverage, although Clark did call the occasional NRL match when one of the main callers were unavailable). Raymond started as sideline commentator in 2002, before replacing McCoy as caller in 2003.
