No way in hell. I know he rates very highly on the missed tackles list (maybe even #1), but he's actually a good defender. I'd say well over half of those missed tackles are from kick chases, as he sprints down the field as fast as possible and just tries to stop the ball carrier as quickly as possible. Because of the way he does it he often slips off the tackle, but he slows the player down enough that he's an easy mark for the other chasers. And most of the rest of his missed tackles are when he does the same thing when the Broncos have the opposition stuck in their own 20m line; he rushes up fast to try to keep as much pressure as possible.

Once into general play, Seymour is one of the better defensive halfbacks in the comp.

He is big enough, mobile enough, quick enough and strong enough to be a good defender..

He is just such a bad reader of play it is rediculious.

Plus he is a shirt grabber.

I was tempted to say he is a cat, but he does try hard. Just can't seem to get it right, and his mistakes always seem to lead to tries. Maybe he looks worse because there is no one sweeping behind him like there might be closer to the ruck, but damn he looks horrible...
