I wasn't in the game thread to witness the reaction to that but holy shit that was dumb. If Hodgson doesn't play this weekend we are gone. Sick of craptiste and his failed attempts to score a try from dummy half.

I was shocked just how poorly Baptise was. I haven't watched many Canberra games this year but if he becomes your number one hooker in the finals, then Canberra's season is as good as over.

Gotta disagree with Pearce, Wallace is a tough nuggety player and Pearce isn't one for tackling heaps.

I think Jackson Hastings would make a decent rake though.

Pearce has his critics on a few areas of his game and deservedly so, however Defence and general toughness are not in that list. I think he'd do pretty well at hooker we had a better option at half.

Jackson Hastings would get outrun by Luke Covell and have about as much penetration as Bunniesman and Alien at one of their basement get togethers... That and defensively he couldn't come close to Pearce...

Pearce makes some pretty feeble attempts at tackling players on the edges, so many times i've seen him just go for the arm grabs, but I suppose in the middle of the field where he could just go low on giant props it could work out. Would definitely be an interesting experiment.
