Would Ravs get a job anywhere else in the NRL ?

04 season he hit a poor patch of form mid season, then Anderson tried the Hohaia/Stacey switch with Jones in 6 to spark something. I remember he was very lacklustre in that time, but who can blame him, the whole team had that feeling. Actually, why even bring '04 up, no, never happened WGHB has always had a stellar spell.

staceys performance in his latter years with the warriors reflected the sh*t going on from within the club. it affected him probably more than others.

take him away - kiwis - le catts- he was back to his normal best in the world and i would like anybody, anywhere to tell me who is currently playing that is better than Le Petit General...

from the moment he entered the club he has been the best player we have ever had and i doubt i will ever see a better player from nz in my lifetime.

He was a very fine player, with limitations as Thierry has pointed out, but to be fair, I'd be highly disappointed with the growth of New Zealand Rugby League if we did not produce better players than Stacey Jones in our lifetime. New Zealand is #2 in the world, I would expect with the growth of the players coming through with Kiwi ties in Australia, and indeed with a bit of a restructure through the Warriors with the Lions and U20's that we should see players at the top end of the world scale. Perhaps for a brief fleeting moment Stacey could have been considered the world's best, but there's no reason why a young New Zealander could be undoubtebly the world's best.

OMG Micheal witt is da man

Haha I was joking. Well semi joking.

I actually remember reading an article by Campion about Mannering could be become one of New Zealands greatest players.

Anyway back to Rovelli. I thing I have noticed this year is the constant grubbering of the ingoals. Which are usually overcooked anyway or don't earn a repeat set. I'd like to see more high kicks for the wingers when we are in attacking positions.

Has anyone else noticed Manu's bomb contesting skills have turned to sh*t (on attack)? He used to be able to leap high and pluck the ball out of the air with finesse and score...now it appears all he does is go for the stupid batback that works maybe 1 out of 10 times.

Thats because he hardly gets to contest the ball in the ingoal or near the ingoal.

Agree, in the air few should be able to out jump him so Ravs really should be putting it up there for him much more often.
