Would you trade Noah for Melo?

Apparently that's what the Bulls are weighing up. Obviously there would have to be more to the package from their side.

Trading Noah would disrupt Chicago's structure, although they do have Taj Gibson, who is a decent fall-back option.

If Melo was willing to sign the extension, I'd do it.

Rose, Melo, Boozer. Sounds nice.

Nope not if I am the bulls. They have a good core as it is and I don't like Melo on their team if they are losing Noah

Rose/Brewer/Deng/Boozer/Noah is solid with Korver, Thomas, Gibson, Watson etc backing them up(or however they split it). If you take away Noah then your two best bigs are 6"9 which you can get away with for some of the season but come playoffs you would get man handled by teams like the Magic, C's or Heat coming out of the east. You need a solid 5 who plays D. If you got Nenê also then yeah sure pull the trigger and throw a pick to ensure the deal is done. Rose, Brewer, Melo, Boozer and Nenê can compete.

I don't see the nuggets letting Nenê and his contract go so easily though especially if they plan to rebuild.

No chance, the Bulls have a promising roster already and letting Noah and potentialy Deng go would just mess it up but it would be very tempting for the Nuggets as they would finally get a centre.

I wouldnt pull the trigger. The Bulls hsowed towards the end of last season they were heading in the right direction. Another season of experience + the acquisition of Boozer should be enough to put them right in the mix in the East.

Without knowing what TT was inferring, my guess would be durability. Nene played most games last year but both have missed large chunks of games through various injuries over the last 5 years.

I don't recall saying anything was wrong with Nene.

C- Noah
PF- Nene

It isn't hard to work that one out.

"it would be very tempting for the Nuggets as they would finally get a centre."

It is actually pretty hard to work out what youre trying to say. Why did you say finally? Have they been searching for a centre?

Nene would get torched often playing PF every night. Not to mention, theres no way he starts over Martin.

That is when Kenyon returns. Plus they have Harrington as well who will need minutes at the 4.

Honestly, get off my dick you butt hurt turd.

Noah is a genuine centre who posted superior numbers to Nene last year and posted vastly improved numbers to average a double-double of rebounds and points and will only get better.

C- Noah
PF- Nene

against

C-Nene
PF- Harrington

No brainer, option 1 is vastly superior.

Now do me a favour and just f**k right and get over being butt hurt Hayne.

I'd do it in heart beat i think some people forget how good carmelo is. Superstars are hard to come by defensive centers aren't

Ok captain obvious.

You seem to be arguing with yourself. No one is saying the current Nuggets front court wouldnt be better with Noah.

Now how about you do me a favour, when you learn to comprehend a simple post FINALLY, get back to me and we might be able to have an adult discussion... butt boy :?

Checking Chicago's cap situation, I don't think they could make a deal for Melo unless they included Deng as well, or else the contracts wouldn't match up. Either that or a 3rd team would have to become involved to make the salaries match.

Noah and Deng I agree would be too much, but if they can find a way to just give up Noah and get Melo in return, it'd be pretty hard to refuse. Then they could look to flip Deng for a bigger body to fill the hole at centre.

I just don't think Boozer by himself takes the Bulls over the top as a title threat. Boozer, in his career in Utah, played alongside a better PG (Deron Williams) and a better coaching situation (Sloan), and how far did they go? WCF in 06-07 was the furthest they went. Admittedly Boozer didn't have the luxury of playing alongside a defensive centre with the talents of Noah.

On the face of it Noah-Boozer does seem like an almost-perfect front court pairing, so I can understand why the Bulls would be hesistant to break that up without even trying it out.

Noah is the best player in all those options but the 2nd one may work better as the players are different styles. If you stick Nene and Noah together you know they will just hang in the paint together where as Al will at least stretch teams and be a better fit next to a big man who loves to pound the boards. On paper option one is vastly superior but I don't think they work together in denver given what is there and the chance that the nugs rebuild. I don't think it matters anyway as if they deal for Noah they would rebuild and get a new 4 anyway with Martin and their other expirings.

Also Deng is a negative asset due to his contract so any deal with him even with his talent will need some good parts to be accepted. If the Bulls can get it done without giving up Noah, Rose or Boozer they sign the deal asap but I don't see it. The more I think about it the more I think a Rose, Melo and Boozer would get you places but I think you need a legit big in the east who is a beast on D. Otherwise you will be lucky to get out of the ECF and if you do the Lakers will eat you up. Damn those super teams...

Another point is superstars rarely bring back equal value. You mostly see superstars being sold for 40 cents to the dollar if that.. Noah and Deng would be equal value for Melo imo esp when you consider he will walk from denver this year. Denver will take the best they can get and I doubt they get an offer that good anyway

No doubt that Nene and Harrington would probably work better but since Melo is probably going to walk anyway then the Nuggets need more of a physical presence up front to build around and they'll get that with Noah but they probably won't get Noah without Deng. The Nuggets don't have much of a physical rotation and if you take Melo out you're relying on Afflalo improving vastly and Billups sticking to career high ppg's at 33 years old.
