Melbourne deserve to be favourite, without a doubt!

Most people would be reluctant to pick us because they know the Eels have a habit of saving their worst game for last.

If we turn up and play like we have, we are a MASSIVE chance, you cannot ignore our form but i think there are too many games from the last 11 years that would sit in the "experts" minds where we should have turned up but haven't.

If we lose tomorrow i am confident it won't be because we didn't turn up, it will be because Melbourne just happened to be better on the day!

I pretty much agree with what you say Kornstar except for the fact this Eels team is totally different to other, past teams that have "saved their worst game for last"

From what I have seen over the past 3 months, has been the Eels ability to put tries on the oppostion from most of their players across the park. From players on the run on side, to players off the bench. Not relying on 1 or 2 of them. Unlike the Storm who do rely on Slater/Englis to put the points on.

League is a team game and at the moment the Eels Team will be hard to beat tomorrow.

All the money is for the Storm, and pretty much all the analysts that are tipping us usually qualify it by saying that their heart says Parra but their head says Storm. We are the underdogs by far, and that suits us perfectly :D

For the record, i think we will turn up, i think we will give it our all but we are playing Melbourne! They are a very well drilled team and i am not sure that they will have the holes that other teams have had.

I give us every chance but i am far from confident that we will win.

I am still ridiculously excited about this game though, we were no hope 12 weeks ago, now we are in it up to our eyeballs, this has been the best ride i can ever remember as an Eels supporter who was way too young in the 80's to remember the GF's!!!!!!

We need to start better though, we need to convert our chances in the first half better than last week or we are in big trouble, if we are close at half time i think we can do it!

With Daniel Anderson at the helm and the support staff at the EeLS, I'm sure the EELS game plan will change slightly tommorrow and "starting off the first half better than last week" may be one of those changes.

I think, like the Tigers game, this will come down to individual brilliance to get a team over the line.

Should be a cracker no matter what the weather!

id like us to win 2-0

Smith missing all his 5 penalty goals.

Burt getting his only one....from the sideline....45 metres out....with 10 seconds to go

We are not favourites, and rightly so.

I'm not expecting a win, but I expect us to be in this game up to our necks for 80mins. If it happens that we win, it will be a very pleasant bonus to cap off our late season run.

But being written off and not tipped will work in this team's favour - DA and the players have had their backs against the wall for the entire run home to this point, and know how to be underdogs and give themselves the best chance of getting the result.

I'm hoping we've saved the match of our season for Sunday.

Two years ago we were possibly rated more of a chance in the prelim than in tomoz GF.
And that was in Melbourne and Storm were supposedly @ the peak of their powers.
And we pushed them right to the wire , save for Inu's foot brushing the sideline.
Tomorrow , we have the weight of Parramatta , Sydney and NSW pushing the boys on ,Melbourne will have SFA supporters at the game , we will ride the passion and WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

23 years ago Gough said "It's Time"..Keating said its the Premiership we have to have.
Don't get bogged down by the Hind-marsh. Enjoy it.

I was drawn into calling a winner tonight..... put on the spot so to speak. Out of my mouth without thought or process were the words "parra by sixteen", rolled straight off the tongue.

Sixteen hundred?

After sixteen minutes?

Before sixteen minutes?

All over with sixteen seconds to go?

Luke Burt Kicks sixteen goals?

Eels were a 16% better team than the storm on the day?

Storms form isn't as good as it seems - look at their form leading up the finals. Plus the Broncos had no half back, and they have mentioned maybe they played their GF against the dRAGONS

maybe the bookies are setting up a storm betting splurge to offset their big loss if parra win

Glen Munsie reckons they (Sports Bet) are screwed no matter who wins tomorrow.

The book makers being screwed is all a load of BS , if they are any good at what they do they would have offloaded or changed the odds of the eels when they knew they were going to lose. Yeah they may PAYOUT a lot if the eels win, but if you subtract this from the money they took from the other 15 teams to win the comp they will make a PROFIT - this is guaranteed or they won't be in business next year !!!

how much did they rake in when manly lost the gf last year? tell us that!

id like to see us win by:

Robson ppassing off to a steamrolling Fui, he busts through white and hoffman with finch being dragged 2 metres, 15 metre bust and slater comes sliding in and fui offloads on the way falling down tomortimer who runs 20 metres to score under the posts score now Eels 21 - 14 Storm with 1 minute to go and burt gives hindy the kick for goal and he slots it over

Eels win 23-14
