WESTS TIGERS TO PLAY TRIALS IN SHELLHARBOUR

Wests Tigers has organised trial matches against Shellharbour Marlins on Friday night, March 6.

The trials will be played at the home ground of the Marlins - Ron Costello Oval, Shellharbour. Times are to be advised.

The NRL squad will play a Shellharbour team made up of players from their State Cup side, which will feature several players from St George-Illawarra Dragons.

Wests Tigers U20s will play a combined Marlins team made up of players from the State Cup and A grade teams.

The trials against the Shellharbour Marlins will be the final hit out for Wests Tigers before their opening match of the season against Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Monday night, March 16.

I don't like the idea of playing trails against teams / players that don't really have anything to lose i.e high shots and dirty tactics agains NRL stars.

Whats to stop Joe Blow front rower from shellharbour or an A grade team intentionally taking out an under 20's player or nrl player..

I think he was going to Wests Wollongong. Wouldn't be surprised to see him pop up though.

Edit - In saying that, now that he's aligned with the sacked McGreggor, Bennett may well steer well clear.
