Caught Raw for the first time since the Rumble go-home show.
Going from my 1999 marathon to this, one of the most glaring differences is the lack of care shown to the main event angles. It wasn't always Shakespeare, but the WWF usually knew how to lay things out to pique the fans interest and get the desired response.
I have no idea what they were thinking in regards to Roman Reigns' return. HHH won a hard fought match (like he really needed the rub) and then Roman appears to take advantage of him while he's exhausted. The psychology just wasn't there - if they wanted the fans to go ape he needed to be the hero, saving another babyface from a beatdown.
I wasn't too fond of the Ambrose/Lesnar or Shane/Taker stuff either. It felt like I was watching an episode of SmackDown where they wanted to get both guys on the show but wanted to save the big angle for Raw.
