Xbox 360 Revealed

Well all (or a good portion) of what Microsoft will be offering with the Xbox 360 has been revealed today and it all looks really good. For a full indepth review go to www.teamxbox.com or www.ign.com but some of the key points include

Contrary to rumours:

there will be only one version at launch
that one version will include a hard drive

But more importantly;

wireless controlers standard with the ability to recharge batteries through the usb ports (wired controlers will also be supported)
xbox live membership standard with all consoles sold (though it is a limit membership without full functionality although microsoft have promised free full functionality periods)
detchable hard drive (take it out and take all your downloaded content to a mates)
improved custom soundtrack facility (ie connect your MP3 player to the unit and have them piped directly into games thus saving on hard drive space)
the ability to stream media from a windows media center equiped PC.

There is something on MTV at 7:30 about the XBox too.


Two things.....


1. I dont like the wireless controllers. I just think...12:30am.....you want to play a game....but you controllers batteries are dead and you have no spared!

2. The graphics upgrades are not as big a jump from the last generation of systems. Thats not a problem with me...but I think where you will see the improvement is when there is alot of action on the screen and EVERYTHING looks great.




I cant wait to see the next GTA game on the next gen systems......:shock:

apparently when the batteries go low on the controllers games will automatically pause and warn you of such giving you the opportunity to plug in the supplied cable and just keep on going

totally agreed, but at least it did signal the release of a torrid of info from gaming sites.
