If Jose was still in charge at Man U I would be extremely confident heading to Old Trafford. But there change in form under OGS has been amazing and I'll be ok with a draw, although they are due a slip up soon.
There are holes in their defence to be exploited. Let's be real, Spurs should've twatted them.

Nil all draw in the first leg of this morning's UEFA Champion's League tie with Bayern Munich.

We were great pretty much everywhere, except the final third. Getting in each others way, taking an unnecessary touch here and there. TAA and Robbo not having their best games either.

Keita played with confidence, Fab was immense at CB and Hendo was Hendo on a European night at Anfield.

Bayern go into the next leg without Kimmich who picked up a yellow card.

Whilst VVD will be available for the 2nd leg.

Even more importantly, we go there with VVD - and hopefully Lovren. It is really good that we kept a clean sheet against Bayern with one makeshift CB and one 3rd choice CB.

I think we played well, it should've been at least a 2-0 victory. The clumsiness in the final 3rd was frustrating though - misplaced passes, inaccurate shooting, ball miscontrols, players getting in eachother's way...it was pretty infuriating. But we are not normally that profilgate. It didn't help that Bayern scrapped in the box pretty well and prevented us from clicking everything together.

It was also good the way we wrested back control from Bayern in the first half, they were able to slow things down and keep possession, but we overcame it and created numerous chances that should've been put away.

Honestly, I'd rather be in our position than Bayern's. They missed their chance to get an away goal, especially against a very weakened defence, and now have to ensure that they score against us back at Allianz when we have VVD and Lovren back, while at the same time needing to prevent us from scoring, which will be harder for them because they will need to open up to get a goal, and that suits us. I don't understand the supposed advantage of playing away first for that exact reason.

Thought it was actually the best we have played in the last month or so. On the balance of the game we should have won comfortably but it was one of those nights where things just weren't quite clicking and we could have easily conceded 1 or 2 so have to be content with the draw.

Hopefully they can go to Munich and get it done.

Nil all against Man Utd at Old Trafford.

Next up, Watford at Anfield on Thursday 28 February 2019 at 7.00 am (AEDT). Firmino likely to be out with the ankle he injured against United.

Liverpool 5 def. Watford Nil. No Firmino, so Klopp started Origi up front but deployed him on the left and moved Sadio Mane into the centre. Mane scored 2 goals (his second one was astounding), Origi scored 1 (a cracking solo effort), and VVD had 2 goals also . Also TAA was at right back and he had 3 assists.

Video of the goals -

With 9 games to go to have only lost 1 game is amazing and most draws other than West Ham have been with top teams or rivals. Hard to believe that they may only lose one game and not win the league. If Liverpool had last year's attack they would be way ahead.

Salah is marked a lot harder so the likes of Formino, Mane and the Mid field need to do a bit more and get into spaces. It seems like in games he doesn't score it ends 0-0 alot.

If Klopp stops picking 'industrious' and uninventive midfields then we win the league.

What amazed me when you need some to try and break the game open you bring on James Milner for Wijnaldum whilst leaving Henderson out there. I think Milner is better than Henderson, but they are similar in a lot of respects and I don't think you can carry both of them in the on field side. Keita or Shaqiri might have been better options.

Honestly, I think at that stage he cared more about preserving a point than going for a win, hence the subs. Klopp isn't stupid enough to believe that Lallana and Milner are our best attacking options off the bench when there is Keita and Shaqiri. Everton may well have had their tail up in the last 20 but I don't know why he feared them so much, they are ordinary and were there for the taking.

If that is the case, that might be why we don't win the league this season.
