Well at least the boys won today (3-0). Reports are we controlled the game well and never gave Huddersfield much of a sniff. Some reports have it that Can was amongst best on park. He played in central midfield with Henderson, with Wini and the Ox rested.

Also Lovren played in place of a rested VVD and played much better than Matip did. Roberston relaced Moreno in the starting lineup and had a another fine game too reportedly.
Matip has always been overrated, lovren on his day is a distinctly superior player.

I don't know why you're a miserable merkin, nick.
f**king lol, you used to love me when Jimbo and I used to lock horns, wasn't a 'miserable merkin' back then and I haven't really changed much since then :joy: I've somehow upset you since then and you're clearly miserable about it. If you feel this strongly about it then just send me a DM to talk about it rather than clogging this thread with obnoxious vendetta bullshit no one cares about

Did you see Matip completed 154 of 161 passes a club record?
Liverpool made 950 odd passes a record since stats came in and Lovren and Matip made 6 less passes than the Huddersfield side.
What does it all mean?
No idea but if they try making that many passes against a top 6 side you can bet they’d stuff it up.
Forgot to mention Can.
There’s 2 of him.He was woeful in the FA Cup game.
Wasn’t real good the game before either.
Needed a GPS to locate who he was marking in defence.
He was just about best on the park against Huddersfield.
He’s the Teddy Goodwin of Liverpool Football Club.

Umm, dunno why you quoted me. I didn't say anything bad about Matip, I merely reported what I had read about Matip's performance in that game versus Lovren who also played.

So 2 all at Anfield against Spurs. Virgil Van Dyke has come out and said Harry Kane took a dive to get the match equally penalty - http://www.espnfc.com/english-premi...-dove-for-penalty-in-liverpool-tottenham-draw

In reply to the Captain. No offence meant.Just wondered if you saw the articles relating to them.
Saw you read some reports and that one Stood out for me.
I wasn’t actually saying it was a good or bad thing either.
I’m not a fan of Matip or Lovren.
Haven’t made my mind up on Van Der Hum either as yet.

We may rue that last minute penalty.its a 4 Point difference.

Not a fan of the VAR and not so sure Kane’s penalty could be altered but he (whoever he is)was never going to wait for an invitation to fall over.
Maybe I should say Kane’s penalty.I don’t know the Spurs Guys name but I knew what was meant I think.

it shows what happened, it is what it is
Anyway you look at it it’s naive(dumb) defending.
95 mins in you don’t try going in like that.
Not the first time our defenders have been guilty of exactly the same thing this year.

Dont be stupid, he was actually more likely to concede a penalty if he committed to the ball - he did the opposite
