Apparrenly the fee is £66.8m which is 75 million Euros, which is the figure Roma have been askng for if clubs wanted Alisson (source is the Liverpool Echo for the figures).

Liverpool Echo are reporting Alisson has agreed to a 5 year deal, is expected in Liverpool for his medical imminently and we could have an official announcement of his signing within the next 24-48 hours.

Maybe they did, just they struck out. I mean Chelsea aren't in the Champions League this season, so Alisson would only move if money was his sole motivator. Further with Courtois still on the books at Chelsea, if Alisson had gone there he would have been competing for a starting job and no Champions League football either. As such staying at Roma would have been better than going to Chelsea for him.

Add in Chelsea are still in flux due to the appointment of their new Manager, whereas LFC are settled with Klopp, have some good pieces already at the club, and have added Keita, Fabhino and Shaqiri prior to chasing Alissonin this transfer window. As such, if you were Alisson, would you choose Chelsea at the moment?

Not at the price we paid and Roma wanted. I think Chelsea would’ve backed off the moment they heard what it would’ve taken. Courtois seems to be going so they’ll probably need a keeper but I don’t think they’d splash as much as we did on one.

If hazard goes they’ll need some coin to replace a truly world class player in attack.

Don’t think that’s an outrageous claim as you think tho. It happened to us with Sanchez. He and his missus apparently wanted the move to Arsenal over us as London was a big factor. Plenty of player choose interested clubs because of the location.

Well it didnt stop Sanchez getting the hell out of Arsenal. It helped that, at the time, Arsenal were more stable and assuring of success
