I find it kind of odd that we are coming last & playing terribly, that we are yet to be belted like the Panther, Rooster & Raiders.
26-4 was our worst loss & really, St George were very lucky with 12 points & were ripped of our usual try each game.

Odd.

Last year the close ones went our way, this year....

Although on a scoring average of little more than 2 tries per game is it any wonder

I agree completely with reefy. The sharks are very unlucky to be coming last, and probably deserve to be top 4, except for bad luck and referee errors.

I agree not in the cellar, but that stretches the imagination beyond breaking point.
A 2 try average per game is NOT top 8 material let alone top 4

I remember someone saying two years ago, that the only important statistic was the amount wins.

your team has some useful defensive players in it .. so not getting belted is the flow on from that ...

problem is your attack and it has always been an issue with Ricky Stuart coached teams post the Year 1 Gould/Fitler gift he received.

ps. you blokes are getting hammered enough off the field anyway.

If the Panthers have been belted, then so have the Sharks. Only 2 points seperate the Panthers biggest loss and the Sharks biggest loss (Panthers 20, Sharks 18)

In the other 3 games we've lost, the total margin is 12 points.

The key number is 1...............that's all you need to win (or lose) by. Stuarts made some monumental blunders in player retention and it's showing. Gallen's about as good a leader as Mussolini.

our luck is terrible

if only we had caught those balls and scored those tries and kicked those kicks we would be coming first

I was only thinking the same thing last week, Reefy.
To me it us testament that 'the problem' is not Ricky Stuart.
To keep these guys motivated, competing and not dropping their bundle in the face of the
obstacles they've faced this year is a credit to him

Actually the sharks have twice lost by more than what penrith has in our worst loss (by 20 to the Broncos). The Sharks have been beaten by 24 points against the Cowboys and 22 against the Dragons. They have two losses bigger than our biggest.

The sharks losses are not down to bad luck. That's a cop out. You're losing because your coach stubbornly picks the same underperforming players like Hughes, Pomeroy etc and they continually stunt you're attack, eroding all confidence so that you can't even win when you get close. Also the defence hasn't been as good as in 2008.

Yeah, I guess. That, and the bad luck.

nobody said anything about luck, although it is playing a part. I dont think for 1 second, that we would be top 4 material without our 2 most important players out for the season.

However, we have not been flogged. That is saying something.

Yep we suck, but we don't deserve to be where we are on the ladder. I don't believe we are the worst team in the comp, just the worst run club.

If Kimmorley was here he would be getting the blame for it. Hang on , the dogs are leading the comp.
Newcastle are goin' ok, not that De Gois has helped them.

Nobody is bothered about Kimmorley going.
None of the players that are in the coaches plans for next year & definitely none of the football staff.Nobody.
So whats your point? Are you saying if he was here we wouldnt have the problems we are currently having? Are you seriously saying that?

If that were the case then surely there would have been at least one blow-out in amongst the 9 losses.
