Ok
it's time to pick your GB team for the June test v NZ, personally i want to see inform players picked and one or two experimental selections. It wouldn't hurt to see established stars like Fielden and Sculthorpe sit this one out.

1. Mathers
2. Hodgson
3. Yeaman
4. L. Pryce
5. Calderwood
6. McGuire
7. Long

8. Lynch
9. Alker
10.Coley
11.Peacock
12.Ellis
13. Langley

14. James Graham, Eorl Crabtree, Richard Horne & Chev Walker

Others i'd like to see get a run are Jon Wilkin, Paul Wood, Paul Cooke and James Roby

I aint watched Super League in weeks, but I'll have a go.

1. Wellens
2. Carney (if available, if not) Walker
3. Gleeson
4. Senior
5. Calderwood
6. McGuire
7. Harris
8. Morley (if available, if not) Bailey
9. Cunningham
10. Fielden
11. Peacock
12. Ellis
13. Sinfield

14. Ward
15. Crabtree
16. Johnson
17. Tharckray

(Lets face it, if you wanna beat the kiwi's, you need some size on the bench)

I agree with most of JasonE's side... bar maybe Richard Horne... I'd put James Roby on the bench instead of him.

Ok, we all hav opinions. But, you don't play a left centre (yeamen)in the right centre position.

Leon pryce isn't a centre either.

Good call on Langely though, been impressed with him and his workrate is amazing.

Coley - Not good enough for test level IMO, we need friendlies to test these players.

Alker is good, but i still think cunningha, and newton are ahead of him.

Not sure if this is the game to blood new players in, thought the idea of a mid season test was to give Team GB a competative game ahead of the Tri-Nations. When you look at the team that NZ can draw up from SL, without calling in NRL based players, I wouldn't want to blood a team against it.

Possible team we thought up, on our way to Telford for the RLC launch yesterday.

1.Fa'afili
2.Meli
3.Talau
4.Hape
5.Vainikolo
6.Leuluai
7.Jones
8.Paleaaesina
9.Swain/Betham
10.Cayliss
11.Lauitiiti
12.Solomona
13.Swann

14.Paul
15.Anderson
16.Poching
17.Haumona

Still leaves: Luisi, Vaeliki, Viane, Chan, Rauhihi, Tony and others I am sure I have missed. Not a bad team and Ifeel a full Team GB is needed.

Well if this is a match to blood players then:

1. Richard Mathers
2. Mark Calderwood
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Kirk Yeaman
5. David Hodgson
6. Lee Briers (c)
7. Luke Robinson
8. Andy Lynch
9. Malcolm Alker (c)
10. James Graham
11. Andy Coley
12. Jon Wilkin
13. Jamie Langley

14. Mick Higham
15. Ben Westwood
16. Paul Wood
17. Jamie Thackray

Alot of younger guys in there but GB need them. Guys like Sculthorpe are past it, Sean Long/Wellens/Harris/Deacon etc. are tried and failed and guys like Paul Johnson must have some very dangerous secrets that they have over the coach to have ever been picked.

Briers and Alker to share captaincy due to experience. Calderwood is there because I couldn't think of anyone else to put on the wing. I think Graham would really fire up for the chance to start for GB in this game so that's why I didn't bench him. Higham on the bench for utility value and the rest are self explanatory.

Looking at the Kiwi lineup, whatever GB put out will probably lose.

Assuming we hold back the big guns, for example Morley, Fielden and Cunningham we should lose heavily.

A lot of Super League sides would beat those being suggested above. What I'd love to see though was Super League Kiwis Vs NRL Kiwis. That game would be a cracker.
