I agree, Keeley looked the most likely to bust through close to the line. She did come back from the HIA but by then it was too late.

What goes on there? I've only just turned the game on kayo and with that trainer waving his arm around to stop play, the roosters run past him like causing an obstruction. Such a raw deal. What's the use of complaining - we are only the Dragons.

The NRL just want the Roosters to win.
You see that in games the trainer waving to the Ref to stop the game and it doesn't mean the game stops.

Only the Ref stops the game and the lesson is to play to the whistle.

I thought the Ref was very lenient with the Dragon defenders in tackles - The Roosters play the ball average speed was more than a second slower than last week vs Brisbane as the Dragons were slowing the play the ball down.

The Roosters created many more opportunities than the Dragons one has to say.

At least there is a new NRLW Premier - Broncos were complaining last week how they should have been playing the semi final in Brisbane as Minor Premiers.

The Semi Final and Grand Final venues were pre-determined so all knew where they would be playing if playing in those games.

All good and as you say, at least another club has won the title other than the Broncos.

I am not unhappy with losing Holly. She has been a stalwart and a worker without exciting
she too at the back end

Both defences excellent. Interesting that a Soward coached side didn’t kick on the 6 and their attack was non threatening .

It was a Roosters player on the ground and a Roosters trainer calling for a stop in play. If the Dragons defenders 'played to the whistle' and continued with the tackle, they would have gone over the top of both injured player and trainer.
The referee clearly erred at this point.
The Roosters should have stopped or never run in that direction in the first place. The ref definitely should have called it back.
In this case, duty of care was only being observed by the defenders.

P.S. Massive obstruction as well. A player and trainer in the way of the defence and the ball carrier using it to her advantage. Why the video ref didn't go back in time on this one is beyond me.

The Dragons players just dropped off the tackle and there were other defenders that could have stopped the try in any case as well after that.

Play to the whistle simple as that as the ref stops the game not the trainer. I am sure if there was something wrong the bunker would have stepped in if they could do so. They didn't so all okay

Great swerve by Olivia Higgins to beat your fullback and score though and the Roosters were the better side.

Total bullshit. Accept the win with some grace. Also accept the fact that refs make mistakes.

If you listen to the puppet Annesley on his weekly NRL review he says that the play should’ve been stopped!
Anyway pissoff back to your forum, oh hang on you guys don’t have enough supporters to have a forum🤭

We do though - The Chookpen is where you find most of them- Roosters would have kicked a field goal instead then if the game was stopped as they had a few tackles left.

I enjoyed the season myself and have watched it from the start and hopefully the state leagues /NRL/Clubs will get fully behind the women's game from the grass roots up to NRLW level and fund it as it should be.

Maybe some of the Broadcast payments can be allocated to the Women's game as well- Do Channel 9/Fox/Kayo etc pay to show/call NRLW games or is this a add on?

The goal I assume would be for all NRL clubs to have a NRLW side although Abdo was talking about Pacific Island teams/PNG/Perth and saying new teams don't have to be linked to an NRL club.

That would be ridiculous in my view -Clubs could bring these players to Aus or from other states say to play in Junior reps/Senior rep pathway teams.

They will need to have equivalent junior and senior rep pathways as what currently exists for male players - i.e Harold Matthews/Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cups/SG Ball/Jersey Flegg/ NSW Cup and their QLD equivalent.

Currently they have Tarsha Gale Cup under 19's/ NSW Womens Premiership and QLD equivalent comps plus a Lisa Fiaola cup under 17's which is played on a weekend only.

Need to have more than that including local comps -city/regions

More rubbish. You've crossed over from being a dopey troll to someone defending an obvious ref mistake.
mmm like when Brett Morris has his feet well in touch and a try from that play was still awarded - That was a clear cut mistake from match officials - not sure how the Touch judge missed it.

At least he made up for it in 2019 and is now on the Coaching staff at the Roosters

Wouldn’t that just be for the local NSW comp though? As far as I know no extra teams have been named for 2022??? Genuinely curious
