According to Pamela Whaley in today's Daily Telegraph, Sam Bremner will again retire at the end of this NRLW season regardless of what happens in the GF this weekend.

She is starting a job at the Dragons as the Head of Female Football on 1 November 2024. One of her first jobs will be helping to find Jamie Soward's successor as NRLW Coach.

The very first thing that Bremner should do at the Dragons is the purchase of 2 - 3 big boppers, if she doesn't she's not worth having there, made me absolutely sick watching these players from the Illawarra go round today, f#@king disgraceful.

Looks like they listened with the signing of prop Seriah Palepale from the Bulldogs. Probably could play NRLW in 2025.
Didnt the Dogs get 2 of our best forwards, yep we certainly do need big bopper women, 2 more good ones would be nice.

Not just 2 of our best, they are our best forwards & in my eyes our best player in Alexis.

Luckily her sister (Trinity) is still on our books and part of the Steelers TG side, I think she has potential to be even better than Alexis. Though knowing us she will probably leave for the dogs once her contract runs out too.

I think I read on here that both those girls were from the Bulldogs area in the first place, unsure though.

I'm not entirely sure of Angelinas past but I know she played 1 season with roosters in nrlw in 2022 playing one game. I am not sure where she was playing prior to that but she played in the HNWP with dogs at the start of last year and then with us in the nrlw.
Alexis moved from NZ beginning of last year and played with dogs TG & HNWP before playing with us in nrlw.

So both girls actually played with us for longer than they did at dogs, so it's not like it is a homecoming.
I think it was a combination of issues with Sowards coaching and probably what the dogs have to offer over us.

It can't be a coincidence that it was right after they were confirmed to be leaving that Soward was told his time was up.
