excellent game, tell you what, the dragons were going on last season about pride in the jersey,, the message must have got thru because saints would not lie down last nite.

towards the end of the 3rd 1/4 they looked to be tiring as the warriors took charge and gained some of the momentum they lacked in the first 40 , but saints came back at us and finished very well.

i left with a good feeling about the future of the warriors, but i reckon saints future looks very rosy with these young guys coming thru.

i hope the rest of the season is as enjoyable as last night.

yes, ditto to the above.

A great trial match by both sides with a lot of promise for the season ahead.

Well done Dragons!

Firstly, I'm glad you called them St George.

Secondly, I heard that the crowd was 23,000 - that's awesome for a trial...

Cheers,
Ben S.

Have we finally made the switch back our old style socks? I certainly hope so as they look so much better.

That's because Flegg aren't a merged team guys.

Dragons 1st Grade (NRL) and 1st Division (Reserves) wear the same strip.
Those hooped socks are usually worn with the "away" strip aren't they?

Yes we know that. But that isn't our Flegg team in that pic – its our Premier League team playing in a First Grade trial which gives rise to the possibility that we have in fact have reverted back to the hooped socks.

Except that the red V isnt the away jersey. But I think it depends on the venue and what sells.

It was obviously a very good move to play the reserve grade trial in Hamilton. Big crowd, good game, and well received. Plenty of merchandise to sell further down the track.

I dunno then.

I had some feeling that they always wore those socks when they played away in the "Red V", and only wore the white ones when they played at home.

I dunno, I'm just a Sharks fan!!! One that doesn't hate you guys as much as the rest. Could be something to do with living in Wollongong hey?
(Still gunna smash you though!)

For the past four years we've only worn the hooped socks with our alternate strip, with the Red-Vee for the Charity Shield and with bastardised jerseys such our ANZAC day rag.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see (and hope and pray)
