Roosters youngster ousted for season

AAP

Sydney Roosters player Ulise Fahina was on Thursday night suspended for 26 matches at the Toyota Cup Judiciary.
Fahina was referred to the judiciary charged with kicking St George Illawarra player Daniel Nicastri in a round 26 Toyota Cup match.
Fahina pleaded guilty and received 25 matches for the kicking incident and a further week following a guilty plea to an additional grade two contrary conduct charge.
The lengthy ban effectively rules Fahina out for the entire 2009 season.

Very lucky kid, should pray to what ever deity he believes in!

If he is in Yr 11 at school at the moment does that mean if he is playing in, say, the Arrive Alive Cup and Presidents Cup, his suspension will be over in 13 weeks?

Probably career ending suspension if he wants to play league. His only option now is to give union a go. I'm sure there are a few NZ super14 teams who would love to have someone like him.

Bloody disgraceful coward.
Should have been wiped outta' the game and made an example of.

This crap is seen on weekends at games around the country and it has to stop before someone is seriously hurt.

It would have been an ideal time for the NRL to make a stance and send a long, loud, clear message to juniors and seniors everywhere.

Another lost opportunity in this our centenary year....

should've been banned for a lot longer imo...

probably should've been charged with something by the cops too.

oh well he will have this reputation for as long as he is associated with league so hopefully he doesn't get to have much of a career

There are people who could kick dogs without a flinch and then there are those that couldn't do it, guilt or just the inhability to do such a act would come over most people.

then you have those people who could elevate themselves above a dog (or any animal) kick and kick a human being. It's quiet twisted to even follow through and kick someone.

Most "normal" people couldn't do such a act..

It's a long time to be suspended but is it enough for a person who obviously couldn't refrain in doing such a thing.

On the Panthers forum someone says that he king hit a player when he was supposed to shake his hand at the end of the game

If that is true they have made a big mistake letting him play again
