Youngster Watch: Todd Carney and Greg Inglis

With the test centre spots more than likely taken by Hodges & Gasnier, then Inglis has to be fullback. A talent like that would be wasted on the wing as he would not see the ball enough..
I'm sure if that game was on ch 9 last night Gould would have had inglis as the best centre in the game,( changes weekly with gould)
love watching him play ,he makes everything look easy ,& once he gets a test jumper only injury will take it off him.

Ok, the thing i like about Carney is that when the pressure is on he always seems to come up with something. Even last night, even though Raiders didn't win, he still done a few things at the end when Raiders had a good chance of winning it (that kick for touch from the 20m restart). Not to mention the number of times he has kicked field goals in extra time to win a game. That being said, Raiders won't go past week 1 of the finals.

As for Greg Inglis, i think he should be fullback for Australia. Everyone seems to be talking up Stewart, but I just think Inglis is so much better. Last night he made 219 metres from 8 hitups playing in the centres. Imagine what he could have done if he was at fullback?

Carney definitely looks to be more of a 5/8, Dobson probably will be our halfback next season taking the pressure of Carney to organize things. Zillman also looks like another 5/8 but most likely we're see him at fullback.

Inglis is one of the best youngsters I have seen in a decade and will become and absolute superstar in the next season or so...the only aspect he needs to work on is his kicking game which would give him even more opportunity to move into a standoff role should it be needed.
