Your Definition of 'love'

I think that some people here are confused. But that is probably because they are young and haven't been in long term relationships.
I'm not having a go at you CG but I think when you say "they are all u think bout " that sounds more like infatuation. If you look at a couple in their 70's who have been together for 50 years, they love each other for sure, but I doubt that their partner is all they think about.

exactlty, like there is a difference between infatuation and love right?... what is it?

IMO...At the start of the relationship and probably a year or so into it you are infatuated, and you fall in love with your partner. Then after a certain amount of time, even though you are still infatuated to a certain degree, your love becomes more 'comfortable' for a lack of a better word and I think as they years go by and as you go through life changes and relationship changes, your love grows. I was with my ex for over 7 years, we broke up a year ago (my choice) but I will always love him because he played such an important part in my life for so long.

In saying all of that, I don't think there is a "right" or "wrong" answer when it comes to love. Its all defined by the people involved.

Thats true, and there are different types of love. I love my family and friends like crazy and would do absolutely anything in the world for them even though they might annoy the crap out of me sometimes.

Which brings me to the next point. When you love someone, even though they annoy the crap out of you, you would still never change a thing. You fight, you kiss, you make up :D

I dont mean it literally, of course i think about other things. I just meant that nice thoughts of my friends or work dont just come into my head like they do about my boyfriend.

What do you mean "without them" N2LB?

what i mean is, with the loved one in your life, the word around u is 'comfortable' but when one passes away, or dumps you, you begin to question the very foundations of your own life. ( i dunno if i worded that correctly)

That is so true...An extension of that sentiment is knowing what buttons you could push/comments you could say that would deeply hurt someone but never doing so.

i believe its when it feels like you are one person when you are together and when you are apart u miss them like crazy and would never do or think about doing anything to hurt them. you would risk your own life to save theirs and no matter what trouble u run into you always wanna work on it rather than just walk away. bla bla bla

I don't know what love is in the romantic/soulmate sense. I know what it is like to wholly and completely love friends, and the same of course with family - but I don't know what it's like to romantically be 'in love'.
