Gotta give it to the superb Gangster Squad, though I thought Pacific Rim was great escapism.

Oblivion had the best movie soundtrack I've heard in years.

An amazing, utterly unique movie.

Must admit I didn't see Gravity, which I've heard good things about.

Think I'll have to go Gravity also. But I also really loved Man of Steel, Thor 2 and The Wolverine.
Haven't seen too many films this year and the ones I do see at a cinema are more fun, blockbuster types.


Agreed that Oblivion has an amazing score. IMO the director of Oblivion's previous film, Tron Legacy, also has a fantasistic score.
