My first was Bon Jovi at the Ent Cent in 1987. They were supported by the Choirboys and I was blown away. Two and a half hours of magic.
Thats the one I went to... Not a bad start.

I'm not suggesting anyone is fibbing here...but the number of times I hear that people saw Nirvana on their 1992 tour...the Phoenician or the Refectory just aren't that big and the first BDO was so small...I must have stumbled upon everyone that attended those gigs!
first non family gig was 06. pennywise at the roundhouse.
awesome
my first as a kid was down to my dad... peter paul and mary at the old capitol theatre in 1980 - puff the magic dragon, blowin' in the wind
this was closely followed by simon and garfunkel at the old sydney showground (where the sfs is today). not a bad gig, but my dad always used to say he was disappointed how they didn't sing i am a rock...
my first gig not with family was in year 11 at school, when a bunch of us went to see the eurythmics at the entertainment centre ;-)
don mclean at twin towns rsl mid 80's.
