Your own 7-round Mock Draft

Anyone keen to do their own 7 round mock draft?

I'm creating a model that you can use if you want.

I've got each round and pick in there and then a tab for each team.

Once you put the pick in linking up to the big board which has the top 300, then it automatically filters to the team so you can see each teams final draft.

I've attached the draft here if you are keen. If anyone is interested I'll post the final version.

All I need to do is link all the picks to each to the teams tab's now.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao7nLFYUdFGudFVURl9TWGZHWk0yWUFFcDJyRGI3c0E&usp=sharing

What you guys think. Thought about it today and decided to put it together tonight

The assumptions for #1 pick:

The Chiefs raised eyebrows this week with their trading for Alex Smith from the 49ers for a 2nd round pick in 2013 with a conditional pick in 2014. Many have predicted that means that Luke Joeckal is all but a lock for the #1 slot. When looking at packages of players I believe the Chiefs will franchise Dwayne Bowe & Re-sign Brandon Albert to a long term deal, a LT who allowed just one sack in 2012. Tyson Jackson is due $13.4m in 2013 with only $3m guaranteed. He was never a great fit for the Chiefs 3-4 scheme and releasing him and getting draft riser Sharrif Floyd while retaining two offensive pro-bowlers makes a ton of sense.

Assumption for #2 pick:
This may seem like a puzzling pick to some, particularly when you consider that Jacksonville have needs at Cornerback with both starting corners eligible for FA along with Terrance Knighton hitting FA this year. But this pick has as much to do with 2014 as 2013. Eugene Monroe is an unrestricted FA in 2014 and Joeckel is a much better pass protector already, allowing Monroe to switch to a more natural RT position to give whoever the QB is at Jacksonville much needed protection. Dee Milliner was contemplated here, but Joeckel represents too much value to pass up.

My thoughts:

Firstly, good stuff, i love reading mocks. I plan to do one soon but will now probably wait until after FA before really going at it, but looking forward to see it build. On to the selections:

I cant see the Jags taking Joeckel... he'll either be a Cheif or an Eagle.
Both the Raiders and Jags will be focused on the defensive side of things. I could see if Albert is re-signed, the Chiefs taking a DT though.

Also, as ive said before, ill believe the Giants are taking a MLB in the first round when Roger Goodell announces it and not a second sooner.

At TE, i dont see anyway Zach Ertz going before Tyler Eifert, who is clearly the better prospect.

I think Carradine ends up a middle 1st once his pro day is all said and done.

I think the browns will take Dion Jordan over Jarvis Jones

other than that, it looks as likely as any other mock ive seen. Nice job.

Really want the Steelers to use their first pick to get a player who can contribute straight away, only way that is happening is with a WR or guard. OLB does seem the favourite in most mocks, whichever guy of the top hand full reach them at 17.

He will be a contributor right away if the Steelers release James Harrison.

That would involve a great shift in philosophy from the coaching staff, defensive rookies just don't start in LeBeau's system. Worilds the likely guy to replace Harrison.

I still don't see the Falcons taking a TE in the first round, regardless of whether TG comes back, too many holes on defence. And even then I don't think Ertz will get picked before Eifert

Geno Smith, Justin Hunter, Dallas Thomas, Kevin Reddick...I'd be ok with that from a Buffalo Perspective.

Fisher, Hunt, Manual and McFadden would be a very nice haul for the eagles.
Would give us a franchise LT to replace peters with and fix our line for this year, a 3-4 DE to start along side Sopoaga and Cox, and a young CB to groom. As well as Manual who can sit for a year and take over from Vick next year

We'd still need ILB depth, probably a safety and a NT to spell Sopoaga
