One interesting thing is what we do with Mann. At Melbourne he played 26 games at centre and two at fullback. He was brought to the Dragons to play fullback but as we saw, supercoach only had the courage of his convictions for two rounds. When Mann was brought back into the team he was suddenly a winger, something even Craig Bellamy never thought of.

I'm in the camp of giving him a run at 5/8 but I'd also like to see Hutch given a chance at halfback. So where does that leave Widdop? He'll probably come back in decent form after being with Bennett and the English team but no doubt McGregor can coach any good habits out of him quickly. Is there a case for playing Hutch or Mann off the bench as cover for the halves and to play some hooker? Or does Mann just go back to wing with our big signing MacDonald or Nighty missing out? Widdop at 7, Mann at 6 or Hutch at 7, Widdop at 6?

So many questions. I'm sure Mary will sort it out...

I like your thinking with Mann and Hutch as the halves. In which case I'd try McInness/Widdop hooker rotation, with Widdop providing cover for the backs. In that case I'd hand the captaincy to Friz.

Its a good position to be in. We have depth with players that are actually up to first grade standards.
Now we just need a coach that can capitalise on what we have.
