Apart from Dufty we are a pretty slow backline which could do with an injection of speed from players like Zac Lomax(no FG experience but a very promising junior)and Jai Field(super quick with very limited FG experience). Kurt Mann is also lurking in the shadows.

I just can't see Supercoach taking anything other than a conservative approach to Rd1 vs. Broncos. He was pretty stubborn last year so it's likely to remain that way for a good few rounds as well(not a problem if we are winning).

Unfortunately, that would be our side to start the season except with Mann in the 17, inexplicably giving us 2 props on the bench, an extra prop/lock to play 15 minutes at best and a back in case of injury. Further resulting in another burn out around Round 12 when Mary keeps pushing our starts through niggling injuries instead of giving them a chance to rest up.

I'd much prefer to see.

Mate, you know better than most the debate about player selection for this year & potential line ups for 2018. The sad truth is Mary being adventurous is about as likely as Rolf Harris being invited to perform at a school carnival.
Player burnout it will be meaning another roller coaster ride.
