I’d be very surprised if Zac can “shine as brightly” in the union.

The game itself doesn’t give its participants the same exposure as the contests are different.

I can enjoy a good game of union, but we are pretty spoilt in rugby league.

Just say when Val stepped and broke through the line in that ordinary round game… it was unable to be defended against.

And you think about how quickly the idea is formed, the body is instructed and then responds, it’s all done in less than a blink of an eye.

No offence to Union, but you could watch scores of international games and you’d never see anything as silky and mind blowing.

And I used to play competitive union, so I’m not being spiteful.

Im going to watch 360 for the novelty value and probably a giggle. It’s going to be a bunch of has-been greedy players pretending to play a sport they don’t know much about.

Like dad used to describe ODI cricket as “the pyjama game”

Test cricket or nothing.

And the underarm incident, dad not being an Australian, (whereas I was born here) …he gave me hell for that for decades.

I think he’d find Zac the most boring person who ever woke up.

He's cut ties with us and walked out from Parra with three years to go and his manager is walking back from R360, good luck with that.

Looking back, after being picked for both the Blues and Australia under Shane and he still wasn't happy, don't know what will.

Manager is probably "loaning" him to another manager to do the deal and will probably get a percentage, this is done in Soccer quite a bit and also in other professions like Real Estate between agents looking to lease out property etc, His manager isnt dumping him or going to miss out on too much of a cut of any fees, just working the system and the loopholes available..

Shane had the same view about Zacs decision making.

In any walk of life, where the stars align and you’re reaching career and salary optimum, you’d probably want that to continue.

I think it’s an emotional drive in that he’s got to face new challenges.

And we know he loves all this fighting stuff, hanging out at the Dapto gym and all that comparing skull and viper tattoos. No offence to fighters, but for me, that’s a far murkier location than standing shoulder to shoulder in a packed ground watching the kiwis belt out the mighty Haka.

I remember Zac in tears at one point before Flanno fixed his game. But he couldn’t fix his head!

And he’s burned through the eels, the last thing they needed, but looking closely I think they’ve been planning for it.
