The moment the Media got wind Zac was not happy, all we read about him is anything negative towards the Dragons. They were trying to build this huge wedge between the 2. The Media do Saints no favours so why take anything they write serious. Credit to Zac though as he played to his best every game. I have not heard any previous Shark player bag Flanno, so he can't be that bad. I have heard players come out and bag Madge when at the Tigers, Kevvie on podcasts, etc. If players don't like a coach, they usually show it on the field and Zac did not look like he was unhappy this season playing under Flanno. Actions speak much louder than words.

Did you notice that Mitch Moses was pretty pi$$ed with the Parra Management when Barrett was not picked as coach and looking to activating his clause to leave? Apparently he still may not be happy but the media will keep that quiet as it is the Eels. They don't want to make Ryles job any harder seeing he just joined. Whereas Flanno joins and every player wants out and is reported on weekly until Flanno has to come out and publicly make comments. The media has so much pull in promoting clubs and disrespecting others to drive their own agendas.
Don't agree that the media will keep it quite re Parramatta, Journo's are always bagging Parra, Tigers and us, they will do them no favours, if there is a story it will be reported and blown up out of proportions, if there is no story one will be made up..

Then we would miss out on all the fun the first time Parra plays us next year.
Either everyone is going to be screaming blue murder because Zac and Parra have a blinder and there will be a million "Why did we release him" posts.....or........we smash Parra and Zac has a shocker and everyone piles on to bag him.
We rarely seem to beat Parra. The are one of our bogey teams.

Lomax burn‘t his final bridge when he indirectly had a go at Flanno by declaring Madge was the best coach he has every played under. How could he make that judgement when only in SOO camp for about 3 weeks. He has no appreciation of Flanno who turned him into the player he is today by providing him with some hard truths. I can’t see Moses putting up with his sulking if things don’t go his way.

The bloke clearly lacks any class. Any remaining disappointment I had in him leaving evaporated with that statement.

I think Zac's footy did all the talking this season. He'll never be in the Cooper/Gasnier tier, but he didn't dog it like a coward like many other players would have. The coaching comment in the media is very open to interpretation.

Zac certainly did play very well this year. At last. 6 - 7 years after he debuted he finally lived up to the his potential. Due to a coaching masterstroke.
But I'm curious - how on earth can a comment like "Madge is the best coach I've ever had" be open to interpretation?

Because Zac saying Madge is the best coach he's ever had isn't necessarily a dig at Flanno as made out at to be in the article. Different people have different opinions on coaches.

Sure but its interesting a guy who is finally unlocked after 6 six or so seasons by the first good club coach he's had can then have the gall and / or stupidity to say a guy who coached him in three glorified exhibition games that mean nothing is the best coach he's ever had.
He's definitely entitled to his opinion. I'm just not sure poor Zac is smart enough to be a good judge.
