They have also done great in other areas. Expansion being the most obvious. Sensible rule changes another.
The game on the field is better now (via 6 again I guess) than it was before PVL became the man. But it is not even close to recovered from the assault at the hands of the coaches over the last 25 years with neglect of attack and obsession with defense and negative tactics and structure. We need way more heads-up play in defense and attack. There should be so much of it that it doesn't even have a name any more. We should here the phrase heads down play.
We need a rookie draft.
That is just TV replays /commentators/coaches. Go back and look at the refereening in the 80s GFs etc. The howler misses from refs never got mentioned.
The Eels need to become one of these clubs...and also bring in a draft.
