Which one would make a better Centre . . . Addo-Carr, Vunivalu or Sisa Waqa . . . if Chambers leaves

Pretty pathetic from the Knights. They go out and throw $650k a season at a young bloke after 2 NRL games.

But arent offering an upgraded NRL deal to one of their best every week and one of very few blokes who actually deserves a payrise.

Surely they could bump him up an extra $50k a season atleast.

rossdog now dumped to reserves for asking for contract upgrade...wonder if bunnies are watching?

Agree, on the surface it seems a poor way to handle things. They should have the cash to pay him what he deserves.

The Knights were obviously going to upgrade Ross - unless what he wants isn't consistent with what a 30 year old non-rep winger should be paid. That's what's unknown in all of this. All he's said is that he's not after a million dollars, but even half of that is too much - it's difficult to know what he and his manager would accept as an upgrade here.

However now that his management have taken it all out in the media I'm not sure. Club might have a "nah stuff you" kind of reaction.

Not sure why you're comparing Ponga's situation to Ross' though - apples and cheese lol.

Blake Ferguson to Tigers, apparently offered big dollars to replace Tedesco at fullback.

Source? There's like 3-4 other fullbacks I'd chase before paying big $ for him

Tigers seem to be setting up to do another Newcastle

Signing up late 20 year olds for quick success

Agree with you there. Ross may be under paid, but look at the mess the Knights got themselves into paying big money to Akuila Uate for all those years. Ross may be underpaid, but going public and making threats is not a way to get you employer onside, especially when you are under contract beyond this season to them.

Also Ponga wa going to get more money as he's: (a) a lot younger; (b) a fullback; and (c) was off contract.

Ross' actions, and/or that of his manager has really shot him in the foot on this one.
