Stone?

Ok so you agree than Yates should have gotten a go.
Yates offers nothing. Why should he have gotten a go? He's never even been a top 30 player. I mean, if you think Lussick is bad, he would significantly outperform Yates against the same opposition (in reserve grade).

We can still make it mathematically... until Raiders beat Bulldogs today, and (if that doesn't happen) until we lose to the Panthers on Thursday night, or (if we win) until the Cowboys beat the Dophins on Friday night, or (if that doesn't happen) until the Roosters beat the Wests Tigers on Saturday night, or (if that doesn't happen) until the Rabbitohs cash in their Round 26 bye on next Sunday night - provided we've beaten Penrith by about 40+ points or something.

Even if all this fell into place it would’ve just meant we got dumpstered by the Knights or Sharks or whoever else is 5th.

Yes, very true.

With the Raiders win, they (and their suspect for/against) are now unreachable for us. Rabbitohs have a bye next round, and with a 74 for/against advantage for us to recoup (even if beaten by Roosters final round) they are essentially unreachable for us.

That's pretty much us done and dusted for missing the 8, without worrying about next Thursday or even looking at the Cowboys and Roosters results.

Were you still in hope we could make it.

Is any Parra supporter going to go to Penrith Park this Thursday?

Its going to be like an away game to Brisbane or Melbourne, but with far less Parra supporters

Fatigue/burnout? Has he played any more games than anyone else? He's played two fewer games this year than plenty of merkins. He also had a late start to the pre-season. Maybe that's the problem. It is possible to lose fitness during competition, since games only go for 80 minutes (and Paulo plays less than 80) and they need to recover before the next match. Paulo could've gained five kilos of fat during the five weeks of the World Cup.

Don’t forget the prelim last, Townsville factor. Could still be playing a major role

Your a brave soul to bother going to Penrith this Thursday night.

Can you imagine the sledging you are going to cop from the riff fans as a parra fan from losing to them in the GF and now an also ran in 12 months.

There our sons sledges I am sure will be out in full force.
