You're kidding me right, you had a 7-3 penalty count go in your favor, your initial try came off the back of 2 bullshit penalties, he was not offside and then a penalty for a bit of niggle in the ruck (which happens 2-3 times in a set). Your 2nd try, he's dropped it cold but there was no clear vision of such a thing with legs and bodies in the way and your 3rd try was purely momentum on the back of the first 2.

But carry on, whinge away.

The better team won, stop looking for an excuse, your team f**king sucks.
You forgot the scrum win against the feed that had to be reset when Panthers were getting a roll on

Unfortunately that will happen regardless if who is feeding it and who it is against. The ref just assumes something went wrong and will do it again because it couldn't possibly go against the feed

The NRL come out and back the bunker saying there was conclusive evidence that Maguire was not playing at the ball.

Maguire comes out and admits he was playing at the ball.

Although regardless if he played at it or not. The ball was propelled backwards from his grip anyway. How is that a knock on? It was all backwards from Wallace. NRL dont even know how their own rules work.

Thankfully this week it didnt matter. Last week it did

I understood it as, the ball 'coming in contact' with Maguire was the act of it being knocked loose. I was originally looking for a second touch, as in ball comes loose and it bumps into Maguire = Knock On. But no.

Seriously f**king boggles the mind. This whole 'loose carry' shit is nonsense.

crushers averaged 25k a game before stupid league.

it's a myth that they weren't succesful. they were ironically "crushed" by manipulated market forces

21k in first season, 13k in second season. Dunno where you got 25k average from.

Third season averaged 7k, even when giving away tickets.

still had cash in the bank when they folded, or that might have been the chargers

Halfway through their second season they had to be bailed out by the ARL, at the end of the third season they were millions in debt.

They were a failure in every aspect, and that's why the NRL is hesitant to put another Brisbane team in.

Inb4 someone mentions the Broncos exclusivity cause as the reason why they weren't included in 1998 which never existed lol.

thought it was abit higher bit 21k is damn good in 1995 given it was the 5th highest season average with 3rd and 4th within 600 average, and 2 of those sides above were also 1995 foundation clubs with no incumbent competition (north queensland and nz).

like i said before manufactured market forces (stupid league) caused those numbers to drop every tom dick and harry up here knows that.

regardless achieving 21k average doesn't make that achievement go away, they've done it before and can do it again with no stupid league no trouble

Correct on both counts. It took rarely seen, legendary levels of derp to lose to the Broncos by 14 points. But that was still a disgraceful decision to disallow the try and you know it.

Bennett was right. The Panthers can get no encouragement from the comeback. But what he didn't say is that he must be worried shitless about conceding 18 points in 7 minutes to a side running 14th.

It was the Chargers, one of only a couple of clubs to make a profit in '96-'98, the Bronco's ended them with their exclusive SE Qld clause.

How did the presence of SL make their crowds go down?

You don't think that maybe had something to do with them 'winning' 2 wooden spoons in a row? lol

As far as 'they've done it before and can do it again', what does that mean?

They were a failure. Not successful at all like you claimed one page back.

lol

What exclusive SE Qld clause are you talking about?

The Broncos only ever had such a clause when they entered the competition, as did Newcastle.

i mentioned other foundation clubs cows and warriors who have won multiple spoons also and they have withstood the test of time without being coerced out of the competition, so your theory is just that.

stupid league we can accept is the biggest game changing event in the history of the game, it nearly wiped out the sport altogether. the crowd figures dropped proportionately for all clubs including the broncos who went from 35k in 1995 to 19k in 1997...not that far off on %.

conclusive proof it was stupid league that was most responsibillty for those figures dropping.

they've been able to average more any sydney club in a season and can do it again, that's a benchmark for a succesful crowd in today's age.
