    Next pacific cup will be 2011. There is some talk of a diluted competition for the 4 remaining pacific nations in 2010, maybe just domestic players or only NYC players involved with domestics - greatly reduces cost whilst still encouraging development of future stars for these nations.

    The Pacific Cup will not make a profit, but the RLIF ensured it will not cost them a bean as it was underwritten by the PNG Govt, therefore all incomes go back to them. But to have a great tournament without spending RLIF funds is outstanding. 4 nations will return a profit which all 4 nations...

    I am not convinced as yet that the next world cup may not be here in Oz - it all comes down to Richard Lewis's ability to get commitment from Uk governments, which will not be easy considering they have the olympics in 2012.
