exactly. Where were the 80,000 ppl that marched down George Street after they were excluded from the comp? They should be their at least half-filling ANZ Stadium.

Shut up man honestly.

It was a bullsh*t game.

f**king Moron, why are we expected to half-fill Telstra stadium after a disastrous start to the season (understatement) but more successful clubs ie Bulldogs, Tigers, Eels are not?

So 20k+ crowds, a 30k+ crowd, what, they were all Brisbane fans for Sydney teams were they, all made the trip down for a neutral match?

Get off your high f*cking horse.

how about all the broncos games?

Do you hearing us cry poor when we just get 35k averages, and when our lowest crowd of the year, ahhh, 27K, we yell out that no fker from down south turned up?

get real champ!

Um, all clubs are expected to. Tigers were almost as woeful as you this weekend with their figure. Difference is mate, so far Saints, Eels and particularly us are delivering on those numbers.

I think the problem yesterday was the swans game and the fact that a lot of Bunnies fans are also swans supporters. They are in the same demographic area.

A few years ago everyone expected Souths to draw a <10000 crowd when playing an out of town team. Souths crowd numbers reverted back to the same figures they were getting a few seasons ago where the club was putting up similar on-field performances. This shows that despite the relative on-field success of last season and the positive indicators of off-field success (memberships, sponsorships) the core fanbase has not grown.

nope.

a few years ago that crowd yesterday wouldve been 6000 or so.

near on 10,000 after 7 straight losses and the cowboys not bringing many is fine.

interesting what they get next given theyve won one.

if they can string a couple together, theyll still average over 20,000 this year

Brisbane fan yeah?

Dude, your team had trouble drawing 20k at QEII...You need a super duper stadium with room service public transport to get crowds it would seem, So you're hardly in a position to talk.

 Okay, we averaged 19.3k-odd during Super League, and JUST under 20k during shocking form in 2001.

To say we struggled to get 20k there is laughable - I think our averaged hovered around the 20-23k mark for the years 1996-2002, with all of the controversy and crap going on around that time.

And "room service" public transport? Bah - ONE freaking station on the one line is right next to Suncorp, otherwise it's a solid 20 minute walk up from Roma Street. I've been to ANZ too - serviced by trains and other public transport just as Suncorp is.

Look at the excuses rolling in.

Seems as though Queenslanders have trouble taking the crap that they're so keen on giving to Sydney.

You averaged 40k+ ONCE, the first season there after the first premiership and the crowds steadily went to sh*t after that.

You can 'Super League' this and 'sh*t facility' that, but you pretty much sound like Sydneysiders defending their attendaces.

Not really.

Our crowds were once great. They turned to sh*t. They turned the corner back and are becoming really solid again (35k average possible for Brissie this year).

Sydney's crowds were once good, now they're sh*t. The big question is, will they be able to turn it around as we have??

When, pray tell, have Sydney's crowds been better than in the last four seasons?
