Rusev is in the process of attempting to wrestle Daniel Bryan over the top rope, but Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt put aside their issues with one another to instead try to topple the Russian sympathiser themselves.

Rusev retaliates with elbows and rights to send the men away, but this leaves Daniel Bryan unattended. Bryan grips the top rope and catches Rusev in the side of the head with a boot to stagger the bigger man.

Cole: It's Chris Masters! The master of the Masterlock makes his first appearance in a WWE ring since 2011!

Lawler: Maybe he can lock that Masterlock in on Rusev!

That doesn't look to me Masters' first order of business. Indeed, his first action upon entering the ring is to nearly take Finn Balor's head off with a brutal Polish Hammer!

Masters takes the time to pose and this allows Bray Wyatt to whip him into the corner and absolutely crush him with a running body avalanche.

Daniel Bryan is still struggling with Rusev, the smaller man unable to lift the big Bulgarian brute. In attempting to do so, he finds himself yanked off his feet and planted with a Dominator. Lana cheers on from ringside.

Cole: It's John Cena!

JBL: What's he doing here? He already wrestled tonight!

Cole: Well JBL, John Cena clearly feels like he still deserves his shot against Brock Lesnar!

The fans certainly aren't universally happy to see John Cena on his way to the ring. While some cheer his salute and Never Say Die merchandise, others boo having to see him wrestle twice in a night.

He hits the ring at speed, ducks a Chris Masters clothesline attempt, and comes back with a flying shoulder block.

Bray Wyatt charges in but eats a blue thunder driver for his troubles, but Masters is quick to strike from behind. Masterlock!

Cole: He's got the Masterlock locked in!

JBL: But don't forget that John Cena was the first man to ever break this hold!

That is just what Cena does! He fights his way out of the holds and hauls Masters up onto his shoulders.

ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT TO THE FLOOR!

ELIMINATION: Chris Masters (by John Cena)

Daniel Bryan charges across but finds himself treated to an Attitude Adjustment as well!

Cena signals for U Can't C Me but...

SUPERKICK!

Rusev absolutely destroys Cena with a superkick and the crowd loves it!

Cole: It's Bubba Ray Dudley in the house!

JBL: What a blast from the past!

The Philly crowd love it as Bubba Ray makes his long awaited WWE return, but he finds Rusev waiting for him in the ring.

Rusev comes off the ropes and collides with Bully Ray, who stays on his feet and stares him down.

Rusev gestures for Bubba Ray to come off the ropes. The ECW legend does so, but walks right into a spinebuster from the Bulgarian.

Finn Balor has come off the top rope but is caught on Rusev's shoulders. SAMOAN DROP!

Bray Wyatt charges towards Rusev, but eats a clothesline for his trouble.

Rusev has his back to Bubba Ray and pays for it. A low blow doubles the big man over. Here comes a whip from Bubba Ray, and Daniel Bryan is there with Bray Wyatt with a two man flapjack.

3-D! Bubba Ray is there to make it a 3-D!

Bray Wyatt quickly turns on Bubba Ray, but finds Daniel Bryan hot on his heels. Finn Balor, for his part, continues to hold the bottom rope and bide his time.

It's Shelton Benjamin! The former Gold Standard is here and the crowd goes mild!

Shelton enters the ring with a springboard senton onto the fallen Rusev before coming to his feet and hitting Bray Wyatt with a running leg lariat.

Bubba Ray has Daniel Bryan teetering over the top rope now, so Shelton drags Finn Balor to his feet and whips him to-

No. Pele kick!

Balor has stunned Benjamin, and follows it up with Bloody Sunday! Balor heads to the top rope and signals for the Coup de Grace, but Rusev flings himself at the ropes to rack the NXT star up.

SUPERKICK!

Balor falls but manages to grasp the ropes. Lana is there to pull at his ankle as he struggles to hold on!

Daniel Bryan continues to struggle with Lana, and Rusev sees his opportunity to eliminate the former champion. He gets up a head of steam and looks to take Bryan out with a baseball slide, only for the American Dragon to move.

The slide takes out Lana!

A stunned Rusev wastes valuable time looking down at his valet and asking if she is okay, allowing John Cena to rush up behind him and tip him over the top rope!

ELIMINATION: Rusev (by John Cena)

Daniel Bryan dives back into the fray (literally) with a crossbody to take out Shelton Benjamin.

Meanwhile, Rusev is losing his mind at ringside.

JBL: It's that damned bunny of Adam Rose's!

Lawler: Looks like they'll let anybody in!

The Bunny doesn't even make it to the ring before he is nearly decapitated with a brutal superkick from Rusev! Rusev then powerbombs the hapless Bunny onto the steps!

JBL: Call a mortician! That guy is dead!

Not content with destroying the Bunny, Rusev rolls the lifeless form of the man into the ring.

John Cena rushes over and walks right into a Samoan Drop, and then Rusev locks in the Accolade!

Daniel Bryan is too busy tangling with Shelton Benjamin to intervene, while both Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt are slugging it out in another corner.

Lana, ever the architect, screeches at her charge to crush Cena.

Cena struggles valiantly, but eventually passes out. It's all too easy for Rusev to toss the poor bastard over the top rope. His vengeance complete, Rusev leaves with Lana.

The unstoppable force that is Ryback makes his way out to the ring, and if he feels any sympathy for the man who first cost and then won him back his job, he doesn't show it as he enters the ring.

Finn Balor looks to whip Shelton Benjamin towards Ryback, but the whip is reversed and the NXT star eats a huge spine buster.

Shelton isn't immune. Ryback crushes him in the corner with a body avalanche and then tosses him out of the ring without ceremony.

ELIMINATION: Shelton Benjamin (by Ryback)

In the other corner, Daniel Bryan gets the better of Bray Wyatt and whips him across the ring to the opposite corner. He runs in with a CM Punk-esque high knee and then allows Ryback to follow it up with a body avalanche.

the crowd chants as Ryback prepares to hit the Meathook on Wyatt. Here it comes!

MEATHOOK! Bray Wyatt tumbles over the top rope, but somehow manages to wrap himself around the bottom rope.

Ryback turns around right into a kick to the guts, and Daniel Bryan shows off some impressive strength to hit a hard German suplex on the bigger man.

Daniel Bryan in turn finds himself thumbed in the eye by Bubba Ray Dudley, pushes him to the ropes and then makes the error of getting a running start for his clothesline. A back body drop puts paid to his Wrestlemania dreams.

Lawler: It's the Show Off, Dolph Ziggler!

Cole: Entrant #21 is Dolph Ziggler! We're over halfway and the Show Off is out to prove himself!

Ziggler rushes down to the ring at speed. He and Dolph Ziggler eye one another off, but after a silent understanding turn to assault Bray Wyatt. The engineer of the Wyatt Family is exhausted, but manages to duck their double clothesline attempt and take both men down with a flying crossbody.

"FOLLOW THE BUZZARDS!" he shouts as he drags Finn Balor to his feet, kisses him, delivers Sister Abigail, and tosses the NXT star out.

ELIMINATION: Finn Balor (by Bray Wyatt)

His celebrations are cut short, however, as Ryback lays him out and then treats him to the marching and punishment of Shell Shocked!

Ryback has Dolph Ziggler up on his shoulder and is steamrolling towards the ropes, but Ziggler smartly holds on and uses Ryback's momentum to send the big man over the top!

Ryback lands on the apron and attempts to suplex Ziggler to the outside. Ziggler blocks the move, eats a punch to the gut, and then Ryback shows some remarkable agility to sunset bomb his way into the ring.

Ziggler has not had a fun time since entering the match.

Daniel Bryan charges at Ryback recklessly, ducks the big guy's equally reckless clothesline attempt, and comes back off the ropes with a flying elbow.

Kip up!

Repeated hard kicks to the torso and head of Ryback to put him down!

Bryan starts to chant "Yes, Yes, Yes" with the crowd, only to have Bray Wyatt attack him from behind and plant him with Sister Abigail.

It's Cesaro! The Very European Superstar is on his way out to the ring following his victory earlier tonight in the pre-show.

The first superstar to earn his ire is Bray Wyatt, who rushes over straight into a series of hard Swiss Uppercuts that are punctuated with - you guessed it - the Big Swing.

Dolph Ziggler tries to charge in, but finds himself battered with Bray Wyatt's flailing form. Ryback's attempting intervention finds a similar rebuttal.

Daniel Bryan heads to the top rope, times it perfectly, and catches Cesaro in the back with a dropkick that staggers him and sends Bray Wyatt skidding across the ring, out under the bottom rope, and to the floor.

Bryan looks to light Cesaro's chest up with a few hard chops, but the Swiss Superstar shrugs it off, flicks Bryan in the eye, and then nails him with the Neutralizer.

The Bunny, perhaps feeling lucky, decides to charge in as well. VERY EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!

The Bunny staggers to its feet... YAKUZA KICK!

Delayed Gutwrench Suplex! See you later!

ELIMINATION: The Bunny (by Cesaro)

Cesaro has absolutely cleared house, and after laying the boots into Ziggler, Ryback, and Bryan, he turns to face the ramp and await the next entrant.

It's Bad News Barrett!

The English superstar makes his way out to the ring where Cesaro eagerly awaits his arrival! The two Europeans don't waste any time in absolutely going to town on one another, and the fresher man gets the upper hand.

Winds of Change!

Cesaro is down, but here is Ziggler flying off the top rope! Barrett catch - NO! Tornado DDT from Ziggler!

Ziggler to his feet, but he walks right into a stun gun from Ryback!

Ryback shakes the ropes and looks like he's ready to do more damage, but Bray Wyatt has re-entered the ring! Ryback turns around right into Sister Abigail!

See you later!

ELIMINATION: Ryback (by Bray Wyatt)

Bray Wyatt's celebrations are short lived, as he's caught in a fisherman's suplex by Daniel Bryan.

Seeing both Cesaro and Barrett lying in opposite corners, Bryan rushes to both with delayed dropkicks to stand tallest.

Kofi Kingston makes his way out to the ring accompanied by Xavier Woods! He charges towards Barrett, slides between his legs to avoid a clothesline, and comes off the ropes with an athletic spinning shoulder block.

Here it comes! Trouble in Pa-

Cesaro cuts him off, catches him, and sends him into the air for a Very European Uppercut.

Piss off! You're out!

ELIMINATION: Kofi Kingston (by Cesaro)

Cesaro goes right back to stomping on people and, as the count-down begins, he prepares for the next entrant.

Roman Reigns, the favourite for this year's Rumble, hits the ring full of running. He ducks Bad News Barrett's attempted clothesline and turns Dolph Ziggler inside out with a Spear.

Bray Wyatt and Cesaro immediately descend upon the former Shield member and momentarily bear him down under the weight of numbers, but he slowly begins to retaliate with hard rights. He ducks under a Cesaro punch, steps behind the strong man, and takes him down with a reverse cutter.

Bray Wyatt clubs him across the back and whips him, but Reigns returns with a Superman Punch to lay out Wyatt!

Daniel Bryan steps up to the plate now, and he begins to light Reigns up with hard boots and chops. The crowd are loving it as he backs Reigns into a corner and rushes back to hit a corner dropkick.

Reigns moves!

Bryan hangs himself up tree of woe style, and Reigns goes out under the second rope and runs around to knock the taste of Bryan's mouth with a boot to the mouth.

JBL: It's NXT Champion, Sami Zayn!

Cole: For the first time in Royal Rumble history, we're seeing two entrants from NXT gracing the ring!

The exciting NXT superstar sees Roman Reigns is still outside the ring, and gets the crowd roaring their enthusiasm with his diving middle rope tornado DDT to the big man!

He plays to the Philly crowd as they begin to chant Ole, but his entry into the ring is immediately met by a clubbing blow across the back by former foe, Cesaro. Cesaro hefts Zayn up and plants him back down with a gutwrench suplex.

While Bryan still reels from the effect of Reigns' hard kick, Dolph Ziggler rushes across and plants Bray Wyatt with the Zig Zag!

He turns around right into a Bullhammer from Wade Barrett, who coolly tosses him over the top rope!

No!

Dolph Ziggler skins the cat and re-enters the ring.

Reigns is still on the floor, but makes his way into the ring now and immediately draws the attention of Wade Barrett.

It's Roman Reigns' former Shield team-mate, Dean Ambrose!

The crazy man of The Shield rushes out to the ring and immediately comes to his former ally's aid, attacking Barrett with clubbing blows that turn the Englishman around right into a blatant thumb to the eye.

Ambrose follows this up with a running knee life reminiscent of William Regal. His celebrations are short lived, however, as Roman Reigns tears him in half with a brutal Spear.

Thanks for coming!

ELIMINATION: Dean Ambrose (by Roman Reigns)

Dean Ambrose can hardly believe it! He came to his friend's aid and his repayment was betrayal!

Cole: Roman Reigns stabbing Dean Ambrose in the back there!

JBL: There are no friends in the Royal Rumble, Cole. It's every man for himself!

Ambrose looks gobsmacked and Reigns comes to the ropes to shrug and remind Ambrose it's every man for himself.

But wait! Here's Sami Zayn! Dropkick from behind! Reigns is out!

ELIMINATION: Roman Reigns (by Sami Zayn)

Ambrose, unhinged man that he is, stands over a stunned Reigns and laughs uproariously at the turning of the tables. Zayn can scarcely believe his luck, but he doesn't have much time to celebrate as Bad News Barrett catches him and treats him to a brutal Bullhammer.

Thanks for coming!

ELIMINATION: Sami Zayn (by Bad News Barrett)

Zayn is on the outside and shakes his head ruefully at his lack of focus, but seems happy to have made an impression. He's making his way around the ring when Roman Reigns nearly cuts him in two with a brutal spear!

Cole: That's just uncalled for!

JBL: Sami Zayn eliminated him from the Royal Rumble and cost him his shot at Brock Lesnar, Cole. He has a right to be angry!

Reigns isn't done there, though. He drags the nearly unconscious Zayn to his feet and makes his way to the Spanish announce table. Shoving aside monitors and telling the announcers to move, he sets Zayn up for a powerbomb!

Wait! Here's Dean Ambrose looking to play an unlikely voice of reason. He's in between Reigns and the table telling him to stop.

KICK TO THE GROIN! Reigns just laid out Ambrose with a punt right to the groin. Here it comes!

POWERBOMB THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Zayn is out!

His work done and the crowd booing him completely, Reigns spits on Zayn's prone form and stalks up the ramp.

It's Funaki! The former Kaientai member makes his way out to the ring waving the Japanese flag and being cheered like a returning hero before hitting the ring and immediately going after Cesaro with some chops.

Cesaro whips him to the ropes but gets stopped with a dropkick that sends him right into a Zig Zag from Ziggler!

Wade Barrett takes offense to the attention, however, and stops Funaki's momentum with a knee to the gut. Here it comes...

BULLHAMMER!

He tosses Funaki right into the waiting arms of Bray Wyatt, who treats him to Sister Abigail.

Funaki's run is over!
