As long as Melbourne win the Shield and The Dogs struggle for the top four my main interest lies with the Eels, Warriors, Titans, Raiders in that order because they have a realistic chance. Then again, any of the rest doing well wouldn't be a surprise

basically only the Knights & I'd say maybe the Dragons are no chance of making the 8
the other 14 teams have legit claims
some more legit then others

most likely top 4
Raiders , Storm , Panthers , Cowboys
next 4
Sharks , Warriors , Broncos, Parra
next 4
Titans , Tigers , Souths , Roosters
bottom 4
Bulldogs , Manly, Dragons , Newcastle

Raiders V Penrith in the 2017 decider
Raiders to take it out.

After surprising us so many times, I find it hard to believe it would still surprise!

yeah i dont think ill ever tip the warriors to make the 8 again

basically only the Knights & I'd say maybe the Dragons are no chance of making the 8
.

whilst on paper and form that seems likely, this time last year everyone had the titans, tigers and knights as a lock for the bottom 3. as we know the titans made the 8 and the tigers missed it by 1 point, beating both of last years grand finalists along the way

The Raiders will be a major disappointment in 2017.

They had so many chances in 2016 to be premiers 5 times over and they failed.

Tougher draw in 2017, especially the early rounds where the heat will drain their big forwards.

The way Sticky coaches, goes in one ear and out the other the second time around.

Finally, the stupid Viking clap. Waste of time, a distraction.

Will struggle to get into the top 8.

Verdict - Lay them to miss the top 8.

It's a legitimate opinion. There is usually at least one team who are premiership fancies due to being close the previous season and fail miserably.

See roosters 09, parra 10, roosters 11, warriors 12, newcastle 14, penrith 15 for some examples.

Could happen. The raiders do have a history of stinking it up the year they're expected to do well.

Next year there will be expectation plus the likelihood of losing players to rep sides.

They'll be inmy 8 and likely top 4 but I could understand the reasoning of someone leaving them out

Sharks 2008 17 wins
Sharks 2009 5 wins

Nah I expect Canberra to do well again, too much class in the team not to.

Anyhoo...

1. Sharks
2. Penrith
3 Raiders
4 Melbourne
5 Cowboys
6 Titans
7 Roosters
8 Parra
9 Bronkoes
10 Tigpies
11 Manly
12 Warriors
13 Bulldogs
14 Newcastle
15 Souffs
16 St Merge

Only reason I put us at the top is I think that will be the focus for the team next year considering we squandered the MP when it was virtually in the bag. I dont think we're going back to back but we will have pretty much the same side as this year, I think we'll fade out like the Cows did tbh.

I legitimately think that will be the top 8 though, in any order.
