Foster off the boards to the niners. Good pick up for them. They need all the help they can get. Kudos to Lynch.

Browns and niners have been good so far. Broncos have been horrible. Hopefully we can bounce back in rounds two and three.

1. Cleveland Browns:
Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
THEY DIDN’T BROWN! COME ON! This was the best player in the draft, he’s a transformative player who can help establish a defence. He isn’t perfect and he’s not a can’t miss product. But he’s got the talent to be one of the best in the game. Good pick, sane pick.

2. Chicago Bears:
Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
Oh god. Poor bears. They gave up 3rd overall, 3rd and 4th in 2017 and 3rd in 2018 to move up and get Trubisky, who they could have got at #3 overall. They fell for the Niners bluff. God that’s awful. This is a bad, bad pick

3. San Francisco 49ers:
Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford
Really, really sound pick, they traded back a pick, collected 4 extra draft choices and then got their man anyways. That’s excellent work by Lynch. I think he’s got a higher floor, lower ceiling than Garrett. He’s going to be an excellent pro.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars:
Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU
Interesting pick, can’t disagree with it on talent but I think the Jags have other needs. As for the player, he’s a superb downhill, between the tackles runner who can finish runs physically as well as any prospect in years. Good player, average pick

5. Tennessee Titans
Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
WOAH! They took the time right down, tried to trade out, and couldn’t get a deal. So, they turned the card in for Davis who is an excellent route runner, tough after the catch runner and excellent in the air. I like the player, like the pick. Just wish they could have traded back a bit to do it.

6. New York Jets:
Jamal Adams, S, LSU
I liked Hooker more, and I’d have taken OJ Howard here too, but that’s no knock-on Adams who is a superb prospect. I think he’s going to be a cornerstone piece to a rebuilding Jets outfit that is talent deprived on the back end

7. Los Angeles Chargers:
Mike Williams, WR, Clemson
Goodness me. Didn’t see that coming AT all. I like it. Gives Rivers something different. Good pairing with Keenan Allen. I think it’s a little high for Williams but I just think it’s a good player who fits the team and what they want to do. So, whatever, its 3-4 spots too high, who cares?

8. Carolina Panthers:
Christian McCaffrey, RB, Stanford
Really good pick for a team that needs this sort of player. He’s a back who can run the ball but more importantly a scat back who can split out wide, play the slot and carve a defence up as a slot receiver. Also, a return specialist. Excellent pick.

9. Cincinnati Bengals:
John Ross, WR, Washington
This dude can run! But I did not see this shit coming at all. This is an incredible draft. It’s absolutely wild. He is again a bit early but hey, take the guy you like. He can stretch the field and has DeSean Jackson type upside. He’s a good player

10. Kansas City Chiefs:
Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech
LOOOOOOVE this. Love it! Just love the idea of Mahomes getting a year under Andy Reid to sit and learn and calm the f**k down and get out of habits of having to make every play himself, and just be a real QB. In 2 years, this could be a masterstroke. My favourite pick so far. Just love it.

11. New Orleans Saints:
Marcus Lattimore, CB, Ohio
Thank god, I was terrified the Eagles would take him. Great talent, lots of strong measurable and if they keep him healthy, he’s got a big chance to be a star. But the dude has had Hamstring surgery. I’ve never heard for that. Good luck to them

12. Houston Texans:
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
HOUSTON!!! They move up and get their QB! I don’t know if this works, I don’t really care, I just like a team on the cusp of a SB run make a big play for a QB they think can put them over the top. Amazing stuff.

13. Arizona Cardinals:
Haason Reddick, OLB, Temple
Really love the player, he’s a great athlete with good production, who can play multiple positions. The Cards needed some defensive talent and got it here. Not a home run hit, but a solid double here. Good pick.

14. Philadelphia Eagles
Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee
Man I don’t know, I wanted them to go another direction. But you cannot argue with his production and instincts. He broke Reggie White’s all-time sack record. So, he can play. I guess there is still plenty of corners left in this draft. It’s a solid pick

15. Indianapolis Colts
Malik Hooker, S, Ohio
Love this stuff, he’ll really help that colts defence make some plays and get turn overs. He fell down far too far for me, he’s one of the best players in the draft. Good stuff from the colts.

16. Baltimore Ravens
Marlon Humphrey, CB, Alabama
Really good pick, fits in with the Ravens identity of hardnosed physical defences. The Ravens will love him. A little worried about his down the field speed but he can play the press and tackles willingly. Wouldn’t shock me if he busts though.

17. Washington Redskins
Jonathon Allen, DL, Alabama
I hate to say it but this is a great pick, I thought he’d fall, but I didn’t think he’d fall this far. This is a tremendous player with amazing upside. Can’t knock this at all, really good player, great value. Slam dunk pick. God dammit.

18. Tennessee Titans
Adoree Jackson, CB, USC
Very unrefined, unpolished player who has a way to go, but man is his upside incredible. High bust chance here but absolutely no one would be shocked to see him be the best corner in the class 3 years down the line

19. Tampa Bay Bucs
OJ Howard, TE, Alabama
God this is such a great pick. I had Howard going in the top 10. The Bucs get him down at 19. Perfect complement to Evans and Jackson. They’ll go deep, they’ll take jump balls, they’ve got Doug Martin out of the back field and now they have a guy like Howard to dominate the middle of the field

20. Denver Broncos
Garett Bolles, OT, Utah
They needed OL help and they got it, maybe? I’m not wild about this OL class and I don’t think I’d bet on any of them to be productive. He’s a tough kid though and he’s got the physical tools to be a productive starter. He’s very sketchy in terms of technique. Not wild about it

21. Detroit Lions
Jared Davis, LB, Florida
Perfect pick for the Lions. Fills a need, fits with value and the player is excellent. Just love this guy. He makes plays all over the field and particularly in the back field. Can sift through traffic and find the ball carrier. Superb pick.

22. Miami Dolphins
Charlies Harris, DE, Missouri
I don’t like this much at all. He’s over-rated as a prospect IMO. Situational pass rusher, he’ll be an exclusive 3rd down pass rusher to begin with and will need to improve as a run defender.

23. New York Giants
Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
WOW! Shocker. I thought the next TE would be Njoku for sure. But this fills a very big need for the Giants and gives the Giants another massive weapon to work with. This team is built for one last SB run if it can get some solid OL play.

24. Oakland Raiders
Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio
WOOOOOOF! That’s spicy. If the rape thing is dismissed this is a f**king rock and roll, excellent draft pick. Because this dude can play. If he’s a horrible rapist, this is brutal. If he’s not, this is great. I don’t know if he’s a monster or not. Worth noting, he passed a polygraph test so that means something.

25. Cleveland Browns:
Jabril Peppers, Defensive player, Michigan
I don’t know where he’s going to play, I’m not sure the Browns do either, but where ever he is, he makes plays. The diluted sample at the combine is a concern, but this Browns team needs defensive play makers and they’ve now got two of the best.

26. Atlanta Falcons
Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA
Falcons trade up and got themselves a really good pass rusher to pair up with Vic Beasley. This is a good move for a team who thinks they can climb the mountain again and go one step further. Another exciting piece to add to a young, ascending defence.

27. Buffalo Bills
Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
Excellent pick, I wouldn’t have had much of a problem if a team took him in the middle of the first round. He can just line up and play as an outside corner from day 1. Good player, good pick. Well done Bills.

28. Dallas Cowboys
Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan
Surprising they didn’t go DB here, I was pleased to see White go a pick earlier, so they go with a pass rusher and boy do they need one. Still lots of holes in this defence but he’s a solid player. A bit thin and will need to put on weight to make an impact as an DE at the NFL level.

29. Cleveland Browns
David Njoku, TE, Miami
Man I love what the Browns are doing, they moved down, and down and down, and then come up with some of that compensation for a guy like Njoku who is a mismatch NIGHTMARE. They don’t have a QB, but when they get one, he’ll love Njoku

30. Pittsburgh Steelers
TJ Watt, OLB, Wisconsin
Probably got here a bit on the Watt name more than production but he was an early day 2 pick, and fills a big need for a Steelers defence who just couldn’t get stops when they needed it. Solid pick. Don’t love it. Don’t hate it.

31. San Francisco 49ers:
Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama
The Niners move up to get one of the best players in the draft. I like what they’ve done here. Foster is a difference maker at the LB position. Pairing him with Navarro Bowman is going to help the Niners be competitive quickly.

32. New Orleans Saints
Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
Good solid pick, he’s my #1 OT in the draft. I like Forrest Lamp better as an OLer but there is nothing wrong with this pick. They’ll hope he can develop well, get over his injuries and give the team a franchise LT. Nice finish to the first round.

Lynch got beaten around the table in Free Agency, but did some beating of his own here in the draft.
Strong stuff from him

As a chargers fan I believe defense was a big need. Last year we averaged 25 points per game offensively and 26 points defensively but if we were after Solomon Thomas or jamal adams they were taken off the board.

They brought mike Williams in to train with team so he obviously looked good he may have been the best option for what they wanted.

We need o line help and a safety. They are drafting 6 and forest lump and cam Robinson are available atm. But so is Budda Baker. The o linemen were not a strong class for first round draft but now in round 2 these 2 are better then the rest. So which do we chose o linemen or safety?

im coming around on the Barnett pick
his tape is excellent, his production is insane, and he did it against SEC teams, so it's not like he beat up on some small programs

his measurables were bad at the combine and pro day but apparently he was battling the flu and had ankle issues. Nothing on tape suggested he had issues with speed.

Lots of corners left in the draft, if we can get 2 of them, ideally we some how come away with Sidney Jones/Kevin King and Jourdan Lewis (even if we have to trade back up for Lewis) that'd be f**king great
Then you can find a James Conner on day 3 and have a pretty awesome offence to compliment a hellish D

Don't agree in regards to FA.

Definitely bossed it in the draft though.

Mate, the money he handed out in FA was absolutely ridiculous. He got taken for a ride on a lot of those deals, but they've got loads of money to spend and most if not all of that money will be doled out and they'll be able to get out from those deals if they like, so it's not crippling
But the deals were still bad

This draft has been off the charts though. Niners seem like they are in good hands
