3 out of 15 teams have it worse. That qualifies as "a long stretch"?

We're bottom 4 in this stat almost annually.

Btw we've received the fewest penalties so far this year. What a surprise!

Long overdue update

TOTAL PENALTIES CONCEDED (Up until R24)

Brisbane - 116
Dragons - 124
Wests - 129
Warriors - 134
Cowboys - 135
Souths - 137
Knights - 138
Roosters - 140
Dogs - 143
Raiders - 144
Parra - 148
Titans - 149
Cronulla/Penrith - 155
Manly - 157
Storm - 164

So we are ranked 8th in penalties conceded and 3rd best in current top 8

TOTAL PENALTIES RECEIVED (Up until R24)

Cowboys - 169
Storm - 160
Raiders - 159
Penrith - 153
Cronulla - 150
Souths/Dogs - 146
Dragons - 145
Knights - 145
Titans - 136
Manly - 135
Brisbane - 133
Parra - 131
Warriors - 127
Roosters - 117
Wests - 116

As you can see we have slightly improved to 15th in this area. Both Wests and us are outliers being 10 below the next worse who in turn is the only other team below the 130 mark.

PNALTY DIFFERENTIAL (Up until R24)

Cowboys +34
Dragons +21
Brisbane +17
Raiders +15
Souths +9
Knights +7
Dogs +3
Penrith -2
Storm -4
Cronulla -5
Warriors -7
Wests/Titans -13
Parra -17
Manly -22
Roosters -23

We are dead last in this area which is an odd stat given we are 8th best in discipline..

Finally, penalties received against all opponents since the Raiders game with their average conceded (as of R24) in brackets

Brisbane - 4 (5.27)
Wests - 4 (5.86)
Storm - 7 (7.45)
Sharks - 5 (7.05)
Souths - 8 (6.23)
Knights - 6 (6.27)
Cowboys - 9 (6.14)
Manly - 4 (7.14)
Storm - 6 (7.45)
Wests - 5 (5.86)

So of those 10 games, in 2 we received clearly more than the average, 5 clearly less than average and 3 roughly the same, although on all 3 of those occasions it was slightly less taking decimals in to account.

Brisbane would the penalty count 10-2 tonight. Have we done that this century?

They literally have to take a chainsaw to an opponents head to CONCEDE a penalty.

And someone needs to take a chainsaw to one of our heads for us to RECEIVE a penalty.

That's the difference in a nutshell and frustratingly it's preconceived by the refs.

It would be good to compare and I will do my best. Just having a quick glance, our games seem to be the games with the lowest amount of penalties, no surprise there.

At least it is going both ways

I thought I'd post this update after getting f**ked again on the weekend.

A comparison between the Roosters, Rabbits and Dragons...

And the stats for every club...

Good work Tommy and Jesus Christ those stats are depressing. No doubt some idiot will try and tell us we purposely do it as per our game plan.

Anyways, I actually thought this year we were getting a decent dig but apparently not and last week was a gee up to be sure. On the surface it was 10-8 in their favour but it was 6-1 with 3 seconds to go in the 1st half at which stage we got a sympathy penalty.

From there we got 4 penalties in 3 tackles early in the 2nd half so essentially 4 of our penalties were useless to us. Meanwhile Canberra kicked 4 penalty goals including a game winner with scores level.
