Time to kick this one off with the All Stars game and first week of trials this weekend

All eyes are on Vegas for round 1 with the rest of the round looking pretty good too.

The Brisbane/Souths game in round 2 should be 40k plus even on a Thursday night and I know the roosters are expecting a full house in round 3 against Souths. Roosters members are required to nominate if they will attend for that game and reserve seats.

I reckon Knights/Raiders will probably sellout despite the shit time-slot as will Auckland. Should get big crowds in Melbourne and Brisbane as well. That with the double header should provide a bumper start to the year.

Is the plan to try and resell any reserved seats where people don't turn up?

Yes, correct

This is in regards to bronze members who get non allocated GA seats at every other game. The club now considers this a premium game where those members can still go as part of their membership but must nominate via ticketek and reserve seats. There is a mechanism in place so that people who regularly go together can sit together. The only other game they do this for is ANZAC Day which the dragons are hosting this year.

Origin 3 tickets at Suncorp went on sale last week and it’s pretty close to selling out. Just a few maroon membership and restricted view seats to go.

There might be 1-3k held for promoters etc but these presales are like the good old days.

We back on for another year!!

R1, I'm most interested in attendances for:
- Eels/Bulldogs at Commbank
- Dolphins/Cowboys at Suncorp

Seeing as Easter is earlier this year, we should have a stack of good crowds through to early April. Would be great to see attendances build year on year for Roosters/Rabbitohs in R3, and Rabbitohs/Bulldogs on Good Friday.

Dolphins having a stronger squad this year along with it being an all Queensland tie and 1st game of the season should easily see this game top 35k and maybe even threaten the 40k mark.

Are warriors on track for big crowds for their first few games?
Great news from the Warriors- This article was from the 9th

"While the club’s first-round match against Cronulla Sutherland is still a month away, hospitality options in both the newly-named Bayleys Club Lounge and the TAB Clubrooms – catering for about 1000 fans every game day – have already sold out for all 10 home games at Go Media Stadium. So have all corporate suites and booths in the West Stand accounting for another 1000 clients each game.

The One New Zealand Warriors’ round one match against the Sharks on March 8 is already more than half sold as the club aims to open the year with a capacity home crowd following on from six home game sellouts last year.

Sales for other regular season home matches are also selling at levels not previously seen and even the club’s two trials are attracting huge interest.

More than 10,000 tickets have been sold for the first match against Wests Tigers in Christchurch on February 18 and the second Preseason Challenge match against the Dolphins at Go Media Stadium on February 24 has sold a similar number of tickets".

As in SCG members? Or actual season ticket holders needing to say in advance if they're attending? If the latter, holy crap... what a precedent to set
