Lose and then Zimbabwe have a chance of sneaking through on NNR if they beat Kenya. Zim's NNR is vastly superior to anyones. Kenya would have to thrash Zim to leapfrog Uganda if Uganda lost.

Yeah its a shame they had seemed to have so much potential in the 1990s early 2000s.

Unfortunately government regimes have ruined the country and sport is a byproduct of that.

They did beat us in an ODI last year in Australia didn't they though.

You feel like Cricket really needs a strong South Africa and another African country at least competitive for the game to feel like its really strong across the world.

But i don't think that will ever happen.

Namibia is probably the one country there that doesn't seem to have politics that has a little bit of potential. But overall yeah there still a minor country in the scheme of things. And still a long way to go.

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, USA.

Group B: Australia, England, Namibia, Scotland, Oman.

Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea.

Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal.



Pakistan and West Indies are my bolters not to make the super 8s...
Could throw Proteas in there as well...

Scotland, Oman or Namibia who has the best chance of knocking off England in a 1 off T20 match.

We know England love to lose at least 1 match most WCs to a minnow.

Meh, I dont think its a big issue Australia not playing group games in the USA.

Having India and Pakistan in the group of USA makes more sense.

What’s worse is the 2020 one was in late 2021, which Australia won. Then 2022 got played here in Australia Oct/Nov ? All I remember is we once won one but which one and where have all but been forgotten by myself.

Its a shame we had to play it again in 2022.

Otherwise we would have the Trifecta T20, ODI & Test World Championships.

WTF is there a T20 WC every 2 years anyway it just dilutes the thing for mine.

If you play it every 2 years you increase the chance of India winning it.

Or choking it.

So, this is the next cricket the Australian team plays, almost 3 months away.

Fair to say IPL form will dictate a few of the last squad positions. I'm excited.

I cant wait for the IPL.

I havent watched it since 2008 when it was on One HD where Ryan Campbell was the expert co-host & Gilly was hitting 4s and 6s for the mighty Deccan Chargers.

How are they going these days.
