Sharks soft draw continues....

Ivan looked seriously pissed off in yesterdays presser, he should have us up for this one hopefully.

We have been pretty average against top sides but a lot of that has come from our shocking injury toll before and during those games. So I agree that we haven't been close to our best.

However:
- Roosters in Vegas - Piakura cat 1 in the 4th minute. We were trash though. Roosters mangled us up the middle.
- Penrith - Walsh with a broken face 5 minutes in, Piakura moved to centre and Cleary and Tago worked him over all night. Haas and Reynolds didn't play.
- Melbourne - probably should have won that game against an almost full strength Melbourne (only missing Tui). Without Haas, Walsh, Piakura. Reynolds went down before half time, and Mariner broke a vertibrae in his back in the first half but played through while limited. Containing Coates is hard enough without a fractured back.
- Roosters at Suncorp - Jesse Arthurs with a broken jaw early in the first half. Reynolds tore his bicep early in the second. Mariner wrongly binned for tackling Tedesco (wasn't even charged). Roosters ran away with it, Cheese also injured, but they were great.

These may present as excuses, and I don't mean them to be. Just saying that I can cope with those losses given the cursed season of injuries. So desperately hope our team is fit come September.

Our best has the Sharkies covered quiet easy but we have been miles from our best
Bit arrogant to say your best has us covered quite easily. You obviously haven’t seen our pack dominating in most matches this season.

Not to worry you’ll see it on Saturday night for yourself.

Not arrogant, just the truth. Penrith have been well below par so far this year but could be a good game if they fire. Can’t see them getting any better with Huth in the best 17 though.
As for the Sharks, they can only play what’s in front of them. Soft draw or not they are going quite well.

3 Comps in a row kind of makes it fact, a bit like when you guys won all those... wait, what?

So you’re not acknowledging we are a much improved team this season?

That’s fine.
On what we have seen so far, absolutely you have improved out of sight.

We also spluttered along like this last year and turned it on when needed. Our best is winning 3 comps straight, yours has been beating the Storm and getting over the Chooks by a couple in a try shoot out. Nothing even close to arrogant about suggesting at our best we beat you. Will we beat you is whole different discussion.

They might get us this week but come September we'll blow them away
