Auckland RL to scrap Warriors 20s from next year

Yep that’s madness. RL in NZ could maybe get to the level of supporting two pro sides and a qld cup size semi pro comp, at the very most. And even that’s probably ambitious considering the direct competition from Union.

This is exactly what I was worried about. ARL making decisions for the betterment of Auckland RL, not the warriors and the wider game.

RL in NZ is pretty much screwed. I've worked for years on local game and just seen it withering because of NZRL (read ARL) ineptitude.

I share your concerns ozenzud. Hopefully the Autex directors add a bit of common sense.
