Can the Sydney Roosters win the Grand Final again this year?

Some key Roosters will get struck down by injury mid-season, cruelly denying their premiership chances.

Also the Knights won their first 4 games in 2015 before claiming the wooden spoon.

There is still a loooooong way to go.

All the negative commentators on here forget that the Sydney Roosters still have in reserve (injured)
Sio Siua Taukeiaho to bring into the action later in the season -- hopefully to replace Aiden Guerra. Also ace utility outside back Joseph Manu has a lot of improvement still in him..

Albert, any word on Roosters signing young star Lucas Albert yet?

No news current or likely soon. The Roosters have plenty of halves cover at the moment with Connor Watson especially, but also Ryan Matterson and Mitchell Cornish. Lucas Albert is likely to stay in the northern hemisphere for the immediate future.

One thing is for certain - one team will take out the GF.
I don't think there is a stand-out at this stage.
Easts are as good a chance as any.

I will make sure this thread pops up again when the chooks hit their slump, get bundled out of the finals or even better miss this finals.

The fabulous Sydney Roosters are unbeaten after four rounds, as are Melbourne Storm.

Melbourne rely on the Big Three of Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith for every success. Slater's substitute Cameron Munster is now out for three months, and he will be replaced at five eighth by the Canadian Rylie Jacks. Melbourne will not be at full strength until late June at the earliest.

The Roosters have a more balanced talent roster than Melbourne, with dynamic halves Mitchell Pearce and Luke Keary, the brilliant centre Latrell Mitchell, a very reliable full back in Michael Gordon, and a very powerful pack of forwards. The only weakness in the team is Shaun Kenny-Dowell, who is the king of dropsy.

The only other challenges to the Roosters, apart from Melbourne, will come from Brisbane Broncos and Canberra Raiders. Whether either of these can beat the Roosters we have yet to see.

The top four looks like being Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra, with North Queensland, Cronulla, Penrith and Manly making up the final eight.
Easts can win it, for sure.

They just need some of that 2013 luck...

I doubt it. They might win it once this year, but again? Not likely...
