Sadly the islands (other than Fiji) have very small populations so even a team in the NSW / QLD Cup is a stretch. We can actively encourage NRL pathways for talented players from the local leagues though.

Best case scenario for the Pacific (including NZ) in the next 10-20 years.

• NZ2 NRL
• PNG Hunters + Under 20's
• Fiji NSW Cup + Under 20's
• 6 team semi-pro NZ comp, each team partnered with a Pacific Island OR 2/3 NSW Cup teams with links to Pacific Islands. (Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Hawaii etc).
