There is a huge difference between having Brisbane Norths/Souths Logan etc... - well established Clubs with good internal infrastructure in their own right - as your feeder Club as opposed to the WA Reds, who are playing in an inferior comp and are alot further away logistically.

And another 3-5 years or so is a good timeframe to attempt entry into the Qld Cup.

But the economics of a stand alone side in the Qld Cup are most probably beyond the WARL, so the way this is playing out is fair enough.
