Saints ground is a standard stadium with a fancy roof.

It looks good as its new.

Their is also a gap between the roof and the seats, not sure whats going on their. If its open then thats just going to allow wind through ruining the atmosphere and making it colder. If its sealed then all is good.

Look forward to visiting next season.

Don't understand the Englishmans aversion to cookie cutter stadiums. Modern English stadia get shat on for being identical, but they look brilliant. So simple and elegant. They're clean, safe, and cost effective. And they look great on TV. If only all NRL clubs had a one of those at their disposal.

good find! looks great!

While I do agree with you, maybe it was a matter of having to settle for the lower cost option that they are building now. Still better than staying another 10 years at the willows...

Did they stick a chimney in the corner to make it look more northern?

Anyways we will wait and see. In other news:

Wakey have there permission thing going through the courts, apparently the Cas chairman wrote in against the bid. Which is a bit offside.

The decision makers are going to go to Leigh and Warrington to see the effects of a new stadium.

easily my favourite RL stadium now...looks great

The roof above the Langtree Park sign has blown of in the wind.

There are now concerns about the safety of the stadium as the wind was hardly a freak event.

Isn't it a bit early for Saints to be falling apart? Doesn't that usually happen in the Grand Final? Gaffaww ;-)

Mixed feelings about these new stadia. Absolutely essential for the future of the sport, but it's a shame to see places of rich RL history flattened for shopping centres or flats. Hope Saints settle in quickly and create the same atmosphere as KR. Remember seeing some belting games there as a lad

I disagree.

As much as i like to fondly look back at the good old days at Wilderspool or those wonderful journeys to Knowsley Road/Willows/Central Park, these grounds were horrible.

The more nice stadiums the better. Especially if they still have standing areas.
