ok the answer is Huddersfield League

named after the birthplace of our game and used to avoid confusion with Rugby Union

ok Heres an Easier Question

Name The NEWCASTLE Fullback who created headlines in the early 90's when he was selected to tour with the kangaroos ahead of St George's Mick Potter, who had a fine couple of years.

the name huddersfield league was mainly used in the infancy of rugby league in japan

i believe they now mainly use the term, rugby league

they still hold a national tournament called the huddersfield league cup

Well maybe you shouldve used past tense instead of present tense in the original question......not a bit of wonder nobody could answer it.

Very good.................continue.

Brad Godden....world cup, not a kangaroo tour.
